    Ok so i have a 2007 4x4 2.7L regular cab tacoma. It has 3" toytec coilovers in the front and 2" add a leaf with 5100's in the rear. With pro comp 7089s wrapped in 32" bfg mud terrains. And a bunch of other mods. Now i this summer i wanted to do a bunch of things to it:
    1" body lift
    34" toyo open country MT's
    re gear
    camburg uca's

    or i can buy and old 88 ram charger off my friend for $1200. it runs great and has 46K on it. It was a fire truck. The truck has a 3" lift and 35" swampers on it. If i did this i would never have to beat up my taco again in the woods and i could just beat this thing. Also the kid has every part in the world for it so if something breaks he would probably just give me the part.

    What should i do. Right now i really want the ram charger as a beater and to put some miles on. It will also keep my taco in good condition.

    The only thing is im not going to be able to get a old toyota for 1,200 bucks with only 46k on it and 3" lift with 35" swampers and unlimitied fix it parts.

    do you foresee doing $1200+ ('88 + extra gas + insurance + maintenance + etc) damage to Toyota when offroading? If not, forgo the Dodge and just be a little careful with the Toyota, but enjoy it too. Remember why you bought the Toyota and maybe you've changed it's purpose/function??? Just a thought IMHO

    Guys the only thing that is stopping me right now is how good my yota performed today. I feel if i buy the 88 i will be disapointed in its ability. The yota beasted threw everything today and i had to pull all my friends out. This is making me think now.
