Unfortunately some stuff came up; this is the first rally in six years I've missed. Always look forward to seeing the weird and cool cars.

 

Looks like a cool day, with rain later in the day.

 

Picked up a Canopy for $30 at Raytown walmart clearance aisle for the meet.

 

Very sweet....

 

Rain really disappeared, was windy and overcast.
And oh yeah.......our drivers and team took first place in group 2.

What time were we looking at for next Sunday? Something came up that I'm involved with at 2:00, so I probably need to bug out around 1:00 or so. This wouldn't be an issue, except for my offer of bringing a grill.

I think I'm gonna end up going bed rack, so count me out on the tire carrier.
But, I can help you sell if you want...

 

One is gated. It's a 'premium' shelter and only gets rented I guess. So 13?

If you want, @Sear87 already offered his grill for my food. Yeah, 13 has a playground and bathrooms so we should be good to go for all ages. Plus it overlooks the lake and there are fields nearby for kite flying if anyone wants to do that. Otherwise we can try to see if some of the other shelters are open. We can lock down one site, and if its a little busy, send out a scout to look for better sites. Would be nice to have a CB, maybe I can talk the wife into one for the colorado trip lol

Sadly March 25th is her birthday and she'll be at work during the festivities. I may pop out to meet her for lunch at 1:30 but I'll probably pop back at 2:15. She works Sundays but maybe I can get her to ask off next time.

Looking a little closer, there are 4 park grills on site, don't know how many people plan on barbecuing though.

 

No problem, I was surrounded by them last weekend......Raptors everywhere at the rally. And the safety sweep is a Raptor..

 

I agree about the size....and I'm kinda partial to that third pedal....
