Good afternoon folks. But in 8 hrs and called it good. Got set up for Monday and plenty to do. I guess I'm working with the Boy Scouts next Saturday. I guess the lad who is taking on the project has better than 50 people lined up, so there'll be plenty of activity going on in quite a few spots. Should be interesting.

I have an Excalibur. it's great I have the 5 tray model I haven't had any issues with it. even drying across the tray.

 

I don't take out too many rattle snakes at work unless they are in a camp or are likely to end up in the camp areas. We see quite a few.

I am already retired from the Navy just over 20 years ago now. But still working. So tell people that I am actually retarded and not retired.

Good point! Hmm I am going to fire up the smoker this weekend... I wonder if you can use lead shot or have to use non toxic shot if'n I was to... NO!

2.5 months until the baby Rattle Snakes invade the Desert here . I remember a few years ago near Yermo / Dagget area off the I-40 in early Spring . I was with my friends with their Rock Crawler jeeps and along the trail the snakes were so bad you couldn't get out of the jeep without fear of being bitten

 

they are one thing that scares me. timber rattler we saw checkin game cameras in august

 

We have tons of rattlers in the green space just west of my neighborhood where I like to go walking.

If I see them sunning on the dirt road I'll usually toss a little gravel at 'em to encourage them to move, otherwise I'll leave them alone.

 

Getting a little practice in for the airshow at MCAS Yuma/Yuma Airport tomorrow.

 

Don't be too sure on that. Them dudes can be out anytime as long as they can move. Had a camper today say they seen a lizard and asked when the snakes come out..."when the lizards are out".
