Allpro skids, Rigid duallys President McKinley CB with PA Recaro SRD with Wedge Engineering Morimoto retrofits Champion Rad - Failed Tundra brakes
The end goal is mostly what @Digiratus and @turbodb do - no jumping or dunes or LT.
I get the idea of a vertical setup if looking forward from the rear bumper meaning |--0--| and as outboard as possible on 1st gen.
I am planning on getting shock tabs welded on the rear axle on the rear side but level as to not catch on rocks/logs/zombies.

I don't quite comprehend the visual from the drivers side as the OEM setup with driver side pointed to the rear and the pass side pointed to front.
What should the angle pointed back from the rear axle to the cross member be?

If it was a factory part it would fit but fiberglass has varying levels of fitment issues from company to company.

Thats where you just have to buy shocks and measure and see and cycle the suspension.

If you don't then you kind of gamble if it'll work well.

Looks pretty clean. Out here $300 wouldn't be a good deal, but where you'd have to pay shipping on top of the price of a new one, it's so-so. $250 or less would be better ;)

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
You're about to go down a huge rabbit hole.

I wouldn't recommend relocating shocks without your own welder and a willingness to spend a lot of time on it. Not a weekend project to get everything right.

My rear shocks are angled back very slightly, and I've been happy with that setup. My first shock relocation was angled back much further and I wasn't happy with it. I would not recommend angling them inboard at the top.

I use to think the stuff hanging below the axle would get hung up. Current shocks mounts hang down, have been hit several times, but haven't caused a problem.

Started on my long awaited 4wd conversion! Got everything torn down, working on replacing my LR UCA bushings before putting all back together this weekend hopefully. Then off to the shop it will go to get me new tranny and transfer case installed!

How much is the shop charging you to install it?

It's really not that bad to do it yourself. I did my 4WD conversion in my garage on my back and a creeper.

And for god's sake check the runout of the torque converter and flexplate versus the FSM specs or you'll end up like me with two broken flexplates and a $1,200 shop charge because of a warped torque converter. That was an expensive mistake.

You doing ADD or Manual Hubs?

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Random question... Did ANY 1st gen Tacoma come factory equipped with a supercharger? (including random option packages or S runner) Or, were they only dealer installed option?
