It is as easy as the Low Range video makes it out to be. If you are changing the inner tie rods, I would change the outers too.

So ~75# total. How does that compare to what you are rolling on now? Since these will no doubt be taller than those, you will already be loosing some performance. More unsprung weight will impact that too.

SO, yotamasters and low range off road has a kit. But I need to verify something before I order plus I might need more of that FIPG for the pumpkin instead of using the gasket they sell.

Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Question for those more familiar with the 3.4 history than I... What would be the up and down sides of putting an ECU from a 98 in a 01? Any? Would it even worth right? I know there are a few differences over the years but I'm not sure what they all are...

Can you say a little more on this?

My cousin and I busted out my rear shock relocation pretty quick, couple hours. I will say I didn’t break down my leaf pack. We just made it so the OME nitrocharhers could make full droop, plus some.

My only concern was that my bump stops wouldn’t be tall enough to stop compression from smushing the shocks. I don’t wheel super hard, and my Dakar’s are stiff and barely flex, so I wasn’t too worried at the time.

Honestly, I’m not sure what they’re going to charge. But it’s people I know, that have worked on this truck for years so I feel like they’ll do right by me. My problem is I don’t have a garage or shop, I’m doing it under my 24x31 shelter with plywood laid down do I don’t have to lay in the dirt. It’s another added cost to the conversion, but it’s worth it for me without having to buy a tranny jack or the headache having to swap the tranny without really knowing what I’m doing.

I’ll keep that in mind about the runout specs on the torque converter. But I think I have an extra flex plate laying around from a recent motor swap, so that’s a plus in the event something happened

It will be all manual. Not only for convience sake, but I’ve always wanted a Toyota with manual hubs even since before I could drive.

I don't know if it'll work. I think the ecu plugs are different.

I would stick with the 01-02 ECU. It should be the same model too. Dont get a cali one either then you will get stuck with having to buy new cats that meet cali smog requirements. Do not get an 03-04 Ecu either because the throttle body and tranny are different.

no it was a dealer install option only. All TRD performance accessories are.

well sounds like you are using your shocks as limit straps now..also not a good thing

I guess where I'm coming from is trying to dial a "midtravel" setup, versus just tossing the shocks in another location. Breaking down the leaf pack and cycling alone would take more than a couple hours. Bumped, soon to be strapped, getting as much usable travel out of my leafs as possible, etc. All takes lots of trial and error to get dialed. The shorter the shock the easier too, getting 2.5x10" to fit under the bed was a bit of a struggle.

What’re the down sides of a shackle lift?
When I ordered my Alcans I asked for 3” of lift, I don’t know if that’s where they currently stand.
    DC0B3565-C053-47B0-BFBC-BD969B59E13B.jpg
    This pictures making me nervous.
Like I might need a little more lift.

Also might end up ordering a axle relocation plate.
