Hey Taoist, sorry to see your brand-new seat like that. I was wondering if your seat was still torn up could you look to see how difficult it would to remove the plastic pieces in top of the seat that the head rest go into?

I am looking at some seat covers from Bartact and they have you cut an X where the head rest goes through then you pull the seat cover down around the plastic piece for a tight fit. I am wondering if it wouldn’t be better to remove the plastic piece then reinstall it on top of the seat cover. They might also be a cheaper solution for you and look like they would hold up to your puppy.

    This is from their email:
The HD tow hook is a direct bolt on no modifying. It will work with the TRD skid plate but you will have to use a soft shackle for recovery. You can use the standard shackle but it would require notching the skid plate. We linked a soft shackle for your reference.
My bad. I think you are correct. Mine is on the passenger side and has an eye. This is the one on the front passenger side of my truck.

The other 2 sets I bought didn't make it through shipping. They were OEM to be retrofit. Those in the picture are not mine.

The Cs will ride MUCH better. They are 4 or 6 plies vs 10. Things like potholes, railroad tracks and just bumps in the road will be much more jarring with the Es. The Cs will still be very adequate off-roading, and get just a tad better mileage than the Es as they weigh 7 pounds less per tire. And I disagree that you got a BETTER tire, as another member posted. You got a DIFFERENT tire. Personally, I would go back and get the Cs. They are still a great off-road tire...

And if you check tirerack.com, the Es sell for $205ea vs the Cs for $195. Cost diff is minimal.

i appreciate your input and for pointing out what i did not notice haha

i lost 1mpg on my commute home vs. the oem tires and actually like the stiffness it makes it feel more like im driving a truck.

I made the mistake of going to 4wheel parts to get my work done and they lived up to their shitty reputation. at this point i dont even want to go deal with them again because its been almost a month that ive been going back and forth with them over stuff thats quite detailed and i wont take too much space on this thread to tell it but if losing 1 or so mpg is all thats gonna change i might just live with it. i dont want to give up another day to drive down there and have them do the work, im gonna give it a couple days and if im comfortable with the tire im gonna keep it and if not ill call them but in reality i want to go tell them off due to all the other BS ive gone through this last month and then have them change the tires plus whatever time they take to change them have them discount my bill proportional to what my hourly work rate is cause my time is money and i dont really have it in my schedule to burn another day so they can fix THEIR mistake

I was so stoked on my set up and when i realized what you said and confirmed it i lost it haha tried to call them but they were closed but i appreciate you pointing it youre a good man

Not a problem. And if YOU are happy with the tires, by all means keep them. They are a great tire for sure. Btw, you also stated they were 265/75/17s. Was that just a typo or ??? They are 265/70/17s...
