    Definitely huge bang for your buck here. No question if it equals a one off custom $1000+ Ron Davis unit but like you said, 1/3 the cost and very few could justify or have the need for that. @Torspd doesn't apply here since he is super rich and money is no object!:D

    URD now list applications for Tacos and 4Runner as well. Is it the same radiator or do they have different versions now? Anyone know?

    Read the 1st paragraph of the first post. Yes it is made as a drop in radiator for 4Runners and FJ's.

    I have no idea on the 3rd gen. You would have to do the research on that one.

    Agreed, I did talk with Gadget about a gb for the radiator shortly before I posted but it is already listed a map pricing so he cannot advertise it for less than $349.00. People have been using the ForumMember promo code with success and have been getting them for $331 shipped! That's a smoking deal if you ask me.
    I have no plans for an efan conversion. I have never installed one but from what I have read on various forums a lot of people have had issues with them. Everything from fans burning out to insufficient controllers and relays that can't handle the amperage. For me, I like the simplicity/reliability of the stock mechanical fan. I believe Gadget is of the same philosophy but don't quote me on that.
    It would be bad ass to have an oem reliable electric fan kit paired with this radiator but I think the price of the combination would turn most people off.

    I think I may take the shroud off to take some better pics of the bottom lip modification. I didn't take the best pics of that when I did it. Would that help you guys out at all? If not I won't bother with it.

    I put the weatherstripping on the bottom and both sides. Don't put any on top.15213146596981928279961.jpg
    Rtv the top and bottom of the repositioned lip.
    Note the weatherstripping around the area where the fan sits. This is not required but it proves a closer tolerance of the fan tips to shroud which should increase airflow through the radiator. I used this method over other options because if the fan were to hit the weatherstripping the weatherstripping would give, preventing fan breakage.1521315236997373640731.jpg
    This is the modified shroud attached to the stock radiator. See the gap where I am pushing the weatherstripping up? This gap is not there with the unmodified shroud but since the new radiator is taller the bottom lip of the unmodified shroud rubs against the radiator fins and not on the bottom radiator casing. Recessing the bottom lip and installing weatherstripping prevents that rubbing but still provides a seal for the shroud.1521316356881128851961.jpgsee the two screwdrivers?     The reattach piece is now sitting about 5mm (toward the radiator) from flush. This does not have to be exact since the weatherstripping will fill a pretty good sized gap.
    You can look at the pics in the first post to see how much the lip protruded prior to modification.
