So I'm trying new ignition coils to see if that changes my misfire without CEL problem. Is the 3.4 picky about its ignition coils or can I just pick up a set of duralast from vato zone?

Oh boy, you are going to love mating that manual transmission to the engine. Haha I had to do it 3 times by myself an the transmission jack. 1st was the initial conversion, 2nd time was for a rear seal swap, 3rd was for a oil pan and rear seal swap (the rear seal housing had cracked and the rear portion of the oil pan was bent).

I ordered $150 worth of drive line oils. The trans, transfer case front diff and rear diff will drink nothing but the finest wine from Redline. Does anyone know what size hex the front diff is? I ordered new plugs and washers for it, because I've heard stories about it being a real m-fer.

The good part is that the exhaust and the steering rack aren't on the truck and if I want it to be, neither will the front diff. I'm just going to line it up today and see if it will fit back in. I know it was a tight fit, but it looks super tight now and the only variable is the new motor mounts. I don't mind buying some new oem ones if it was the case that the new mounts dropped the engine height enough to make the bell housing not fit back in. Afaik other guys with the same setup have added the bomb proof motor mounts and not had a problem though @Blackdawg.

Said fuck no to 250 for ignition coils. Not until I know that's the problem. Did pick some Chevy 63s though. That should be fun.

I wish I could find some center caps for them, they’d look a lot better on the truck

Just paint the hubs black if you haven't already :notsure:

That's the look I like better, but it's just my opinion...

It was a bitch to get my mounts in. Motor didn't want to go high enough Soni can see how doing the motor and trying to mount the tranny would be an issue

    Huh? Lol

So your bh obviously does clear your diff pinion right? I guess I can loosen up the motor mount bolts while I mount the tranny. As long as it clears the diff I'm straight. Aftermarket parts man lol. It would suck if the diff can't come out w/o unbolting the engine again - I guess I can experiment and find out before this thing gets back on the road. Lol

The county kept adding dirt to my road and eventually nobody could drive on it after it rained. was hilarious to me cause they kept telling us "quit whining it's fine" then they got pretty much everything at there disposal stuck and was asking us to help them out. Idk how many people told them "quit whining it's fine"

I lost the link to the guy who specializes rebuilding the rear diff. Anybody know who I'm talkin about? I think he lives somewhere in the east coast.

I bought my truck new in 1997, the trd package was not available at that time nor the Trd supercharger.
The trd supercharger was a hug buzz in 1997 just waiting the release to the dealers to sell it.
It was an option as an add on ONLY to any 3.4 motor. After I bought my truck in 1997 I was on the wait list for the first round of superchargers available that had to be purchased through the dealer and Installed by them.
It was like a 6 months wait for me in 1998 and that’s when I bought my supercharger, I have more miles than anyone on my 3.4 TRD supercharger at
560,000 miles 20 years later it’s still screaming with 10 pounds of boost !!!!!!
Best overall bang for the buck by far
The gray supercharger is an amazing item that you can get an add 100 plus hp with a few mods. regulator rebuilds every 150,000 miles are needed
