Yeah, it also had a rear bumper with a swingout. I think it was a high clearance bumper, but can't remember for sure.

Thats what scares me. I got the extended warranty and dont want to have them deny a claim. Especially after the morons overfilled the oil on its first change.

    Hey guys,

Removed the air dam today and it indeed looks 100% better! Plus no more rubbing.

    But....then I saw this:2018-03-17 14.46.25.jpg

Clearly at my first oil change they dropped the skid plate but failed to seat the bolt when done. Thankfully they didn't cross thread it or that it didn't fall out. Having worked for Toyota service in the past, things like this sort of tick me off.

They get in a rush, and working on multiple vehicles at once. I know, still not an excuse, but it happens. I did all my maintenance on my truck for that reason.

yep... I was talking to the parts and service guys when picking up my roof rack and all that from them and they are Subaru enthusiasts and we were talking about Accessports and all that and he was saying there are people that try to look slick but they can easily tell if a car has / had an AP installed... they said that in cases where it's something dumb that is non mechanical they wont say anything, but if it's something performance related, they'll deny the warranty in a heartbeat since the ECU controls almost everything on the car

Very true. Having changed my own oil for years, and of course as a service tech at Toyota, I hate doing it now myself. Haha. But I still change the oil in my motorcycle and really the worst part is disposal. PITA to take it to the dump.

Back in the day, a new guy we had at Toyota changed the oil in a Tercel and accidentally double filled it (was distracted after filling it initially) and the customer drive out with 8 quarts of oil in that tiny engine. What a mess that was to clean up.

This is the very reason I DONT go to Walmart.....GRRR

I took my Mom to get some stuff and I am getting some stuff off the shelf for her. This man and woman come along and push my Mom out of the way she is 76 yrs old and uses a cane. I catch her as she is about to fall,I get her stable then I go talk to the POS who then try’s to swing at me.

So I tell him that actions are not a good idea unless he wants to eat through a feeding tube the rest of his life. Then his women starts in with me calling me fuck head and even a pussy assed bitch and I Asked her if she understood what I just said? She then says fuck you! Then her man starts back with.. you would hit a women I said it all depends do you or her want to find out? I then said just be kind of the elderly and walked away....

I always waited till i had 3 or 4 gallons, then dropped it off at my local advance auto. They have a large container in the back, looks kinda like a small sealed dumpster. Just pour in and dispose of your containers. I used the gallon jugs from costco. They are stout and have a screw on lid. I always let the oil cool overnight before putting the lid on.

Just got back from Sleepy Creek. The two trails that meet and loop back to the campground that I highlighted in blue in my previous post were gated at both ends:
    20180317_142808.jpg
    20180317_135729.jpg
However, the 2nd one has an access around the gate
    20180317_135753.jpg
Saw several more gated shut trails, but also saw 2 open non-gated trails:
    20180317_140228.jpg

So, unless someone remembers where the trails they've wheeled before are, I'm stumped.

Take one of changing my u-joints failed. I couldn't get the bolts on the rear diff flange to budge. I put Liquid Wrench on them and hit them with both my electric impacts to no avail. I thought maybe I could just get the rear u-joint out with the driveshaft still mounted, so I took out the clips and put together a makeshift u-joint press with a big c clamp and a couple of sockets. It wouldn't budge either though.
