Is it fair to say that most of us posting here are satisfied Taco owners?

Our conversations may be useful to anyone lurking to gather information to decide between buying a Tacoma vs a RL that might inform his/her decision. For me, legroom is a must-have criterion, and has been since I bought my first new car. The Taco meets that criterion; the RL does not. Towing has never been a factor before, but my wife and I have toyed with the idea of getting a small travel trailer. Probably won't happen, but if it does, the Taco gives us more flexibility than the RL.

We tend to buy new/keep cars a long time. We've never traded a car that we owed money on, and only once have we traded a car after less than 10 years. I plan to keep it that way. If I can help one other person make a more informed decision through my posts, that is OK. If their decision criteria are different and choose the RL over the Taco, that too is OK. Just figure out what your important criteria are before dropping $30+K on a new car/truck that you won't be satisfied with.

Ridgeline should have been named Speed Bump Line.

I agree with your statement. Honda makes great cars and there is no doubt about it! However classifying the Ridgeline as a truck is misleading when everything about it screams SUV. If it was listed as a Pilot variant, like the Ford Explorer Sport Trac was, then I would say "hey great SUV" and lets move on. However, Honda is calling it a truck and it is not. Honda had the opportunity to build another great vehicle in designing the new Ridgeline. It could have been a contender in small to medium truck segment, but instead they chopped the back off a Pilot and called it a truck.
