    Just ordered LOKKA's TOY-FO-786 front auto locker. I know @ahspurlock has it, anyone else? Any tips for install?

    I’m waiting to do my engine swap, to install it. It’ll probably be another 2-3 months to be honest, I’m hoping not longer.

    It's the best for the dollar . It's $1000 + for ARB by time you get done buying the locker , air compressor not to mention installation . Then there's Harper lockers but those are $1300 .

    I've got a compressor already, that was my thinking when I ordered trutrac sitting in the garage to be installed by a local member later this month. I've been geeking out on it all day at work watching/reading reviews. I'm gonna do it soon all of my mods have been budget friendly. It's kinda been a goal to be tricked out on the low-end of the taco spectrum.

    what?

    My concern was the front shaft spinning in the tcase without it being in 4wd, not sure how the oiling is dealt with in the tcase as im pretty sure there is an oil pump of some kind in there to circulate things.

    But OP has manual hubs so no issues there.

    Ya I re-read that confused myself:frusty: I don’t see any issues with it. From other t-cases I’ve seen the oil sits at the bottom an the gears an chain inside slap it around to lube parts like a rear diff does.

    @nd4spdbh
    @MattCowsmasher

    Open Diff (normally)
    CV axles driven by spinning wheels but not connected because of disconnected actuator.
    Front driveshaft (u-joints) doesn't move until actuator engages.

    Locked front

    Everything driven by wheels with/without actuator connected, including driveshaft (u-joints)

    Locked front with manual hubs
    Nothing is driven by tires, no wear

    yes the front drive shaft will spin but does not effect anything . The oil pump in the tcase actually sits where the front drive shaft sets .

    Yup like stated didnt know OP had manual hubs which makes my original question mute.

    Also good to know the oil pump for the tcase is located on the front driveshaft output.
