Just pulled the trigger! Liking them so far for the 10 miles I drove them and I’m gonna put them to the test off-road soon. I had a question about how the tire is sitting on my Baja rims though. There’s about a 3/16” gap between the edge of the wheel and where I’m assuming the tire bead sits.

The tire is a 235/85 and the wheel is 16x7.5. Is that lip showing normal? I’m assuming so since it’s a skinny tire but I just wanted to get some feedback.

I would say yes as long as the shop filled them to said pressure to seat the bead. The area for where it actually seats is im guessing set in more. That way the faux bead lock ring doesnt take any critical pressure from the tire. I havent seen them bare wheel though, so just a hypothesis.

They look really similar for sure but these are the TRD Baja wheels. Thanks though!

Oh nice! I should have looked closer and I would have noticed the TRD center cap ...

Yup. Any thoughts on how much of the wheel is showing before the tire is seated?

The gap looks kind of unusual, but you have a different wheel and tire than I do. I’m on Duratracs at 265/75/16 on the TRD OR 16” wheels, so it probably depends on the combo.

That's exactly what I was coming from. I'm thinking the wider tire just folds over what I'm seeing now.

Yeah my tires bulge out more being a 265. I would think if you haven’t seen any problems by now, should be fine long term.
