    sure..I had to bend mine slightly ..like 1/8" to clear the tailgate..run a 4' fire stick when Im go to Va or somewhere on the innerstates, a 3 " normally..never had a issue with th mount bending flexing etc and it stays where I bent for clearance really nice unit

    Some 3rd gens have had problems with mounts like that. The gap on the sides of the tailgate wasn't really wide enough. Some would fit but some guys lost a little paint from vibration. I think it really depends on the truck.

    I made one that mounts to the bed rail and one of the bolts that the bamf uses with a piece of 1 1/2 angle. A grinder and a drill are all you need. I'll see if I have a pic.

    The areas I mentioned are still the Jordan creek, just further upstream. The Jordan in the park and by Home Depot get pretty packed with people. Are you fishing by yourself? PM me, maybe we can meet up somewhere and I’ll show you the secret spots. I normally don’t get out until 10 or so on the opener. Too many people out until then. I normally have the spot to myself after 11.

    @Grand dude

    I thought I had a pic of it on the truck painted, it would show up better. I did run a ground wire to the frame.

    If that would work for you,you can have it.

    I recently came across this one, made for 3rd gens. Looks like they try to combat flex. A bit pricey

    Yes, mounts differently and is also a tighter gap. I’ve just been so busy with my full time job and building sliders for local members here that I haven’t come up with an antenna mount for the 3rd gens. Probably never will lol
