Last minute extra coat of paint on my bud built sliders... originally painted them a week or so back, but I was also painting some armor stuff for a friend as well; and after hanging all of his stuff from the rafters, I was running of of room and decided to lay mine on the floor, with the idea of just having to paint the underside of the plate with rattle can after. Unfortunately, yesterday when I went to paint the back of the plate, I founds some spots on the underside of the tubes that I did not get good coverage on. So hung back up properly, light hand scuff... and a fresh coat of epoxy primer and clear over the whole thing.

For reference of what I used: Started with a coat of SEM Chip Guard, that I foolishly tried to spray with a 1.8 tip hvlp instead of my schultz, because I didn't want a really heavy texture. It sort of worked, but took forever ...and almost lost one of my guns as it did not want to cleanup without a fight. (Not doing that again... that stuff is way to thick, and wasn't sure if I could reduce it and maintain the hardness of the coat, so I just went for it), then 2k black epoxy primer (PPG Shopline) finished with 2k satin clear (Used Summit satin clear for this... as my local shop only had Satin Clear in Deltron and wasn't about to spend Deltron money on sliders, lol).

Hopefully it's going to hold up well; and if not and/or when I take some paint off on a rock, it's a perfect match for Rustoleum Satin Black for touching up.

It's still a little wet from the final coat in this pic, won't be quite this shiny once dry.

Thanks I like it so far. Haven’t had it long so can’t really give a review. But in my opinion it definitely looks better than the smoke plastic ones.
