You don't need a special tool, its really simple once you take it apart you can see how easy it is. Once you have the cylinder out insert your key and with your key in the cylinder grind down or sand the brass pins down smooth with the cylinder and your done.

So I'm finding tons of different torque numbers on the b9lts for our 3rd member. I'm going to be swapping one out soon what are the torque specs for the 3rd member? Axle backing plate?

Bout to do this next weekend if the weather permits. Contemplating having a shop put my struts together. Did you do it yourself? How hard was it? What is the torque for the top nut?

I gave up for the day down to 30* but the front eye bolt is way off with the leaf center pin lined up. Am I going to be able to wrestle this son of a bitch into place? Any tricks?

You'll just have to move the axle forward to get the spring hanger to line up, shouldn't be too hard if the axle is free to move forward/backward. This will push your wheel pretty far forward in the wheel well, I believe there was some discussion on this the other day. Pretty common with Dakars. You may need to get axle relocation plates to push the axle back 3/4" or so to center the wheel in the wheel well.

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Put the front hanger bolt in first, then shift the axle to get it to line up with the centering pin.
