Yes they are. I use them everyday. I don't even use a regular socket, unless it's really needed

Its all good we made progress. Now me and Josh are working on getting the flywheel out. How do we brace it so it doesn't spin? URD said you shouldn't use an impact on their sheet they included. But the flywheel just wants to spin on us.

If you fast-forward this video to the 10-minute mark, he uses an electrical conduit to stop the flywheel from turning which seems to of worked well or you could use something similar.

wedge a large screwdriver between flywheel teeth & screwdriver shaft against block for a hold back.

You can impact the old on off, and use hand tools to put the new one on.

This right here. An impact delivers its energy only to the bolt at the end of it, unlike a wrench that will have the entire unit the bolt is attached to spinning uncontrollably when it has tension.

We used an extension braced against the front skid from Mobtown, and the guide pin only needed to torque it to 24lbs so it wasn't as bad as we thought. Used the impact to take them off. I'm guessing URD only meant not to use it when putting it back on which we didn't. Locktite, and torqued. Clutch is in, the mystery vacuum lines have been solved as well. Trans is positioned ready to roll under the truck after burgers and tater tots lol thank you everyone that has reached out on here and in PMs and texts this is truly what TW is about. Hoping putting it back in is easier than taking it out lol

    GREAT JOB!
just a note, you don't have to disconnect clutch line, you can unbolt the slave from tranny & tie it up on the side to save time refilling & bleeding.

Did you get the correct torque specs for the pressure plate? It is very easy to over-do it on that.

yes, the part that it's attached to, unbolts from the tranny & the system fluid stays in the lines

Since it is already disconnected, might as well replace the master and slave cylinders. It is best to replace them at the same time. Another $50 in parts and an hour of work. I can almost guarantee that you will start feeling leaky cylinders within 2 months if you already put enough miles on the truck to require a new clutch.
