I had the tsb update installed and it did absolutely nothing! I was hopeful and honestly I wish it had helped. After the install my dealership told me they could not do anything else to help me. That it was documented and hopefully Toyota will come out with a recall. This seems like a piss poor way to "resolve" my issue. I hope it helped some people, but it did nothing for my truck sadly. I used lithium grease and it has seemed to solve the problem for now, but I'm sure it will return after it wears off. I'll have to try a different dealership and call corporate most likely. For now though I'm glad the grease (although not recommended) helped.

Haha right, had the new pads installed all around now, the dealer even added the new ones for my AAL. It’s been dead quiet for awhile now. I am so glad they fixed this.

Okay, I need some help from you guys. So the attached PDF states that the leaf spring squeak will be repaired and covered under 60k mile warranty. I scheduled the repair for my truck to take place today. My truck has 45k miles on it. When I came to pick up my truck the service associate informed me that the TSB has been updated on Oct 13 2017 and now is only covered under 36 month 36k mile warranty. Can anyone confirm this is true? I scheduled my appointment last week for the repair to occur today. The service associate informed me that the part was ordered today and will be in on this Friday. So my question to him was, "so my truck could have never been repaired today regardless of the warranty situation?" His response was a simple, "that's right." Something just seems a little off. Like they are trying to avoid the replacement. I have had a handful of issues with this service department so was not surprised to be let down once again.

Just call Toyota corporate and tell them about the customer service you received from them and tell them how upset you are. They will help you out. You may have to start with an email, but someone will call within a couple business days.

Did tsb on my 16. no squeaking yet.

I haven't been off road yet with it but right now it's good.

I'd just bring it in and complain. Can't hurt

Took my truck on Friday for the squeaking and the wind noise. The service rep mentioned that it was a problem for previous models which we all know . They didn't do anything to it because they want to check with California on Monday to see how to handle.
I am dropping off the truck tomorrow morning so they can do more testing, according to service.
No TSB is out for the 2018's.
Will keep you guys posted tomorrow. This is going to be a long drawn headache. I can just see it. 2300 miles on the truck.

I had an appointment Tuesday for my leafs squeaking, they knew all about it and had the parts in stock. I ended up having the reschedule, but they didn't give me any issues for my 18 on the leaf springs at least.

I will say this, after getting the TSB done it has been good so far... Maybe 10K or so on it. Hopefully it stays that way

Is there a downside for not taking care of this squeaky noise from leaf spring? Mine squeaks but only seems to hear when window down so I haven’t been bothered by it too much but when I do hear it...oh Man, sounds aweful!

I think you answered your own question lol :)

but srsly, It sounds like shit and it is a new truck. do you want to sound like an old chevy driving down the road? if you don't mind the noise, then don't do it. My thing is that it is a free service (before 36k miles) why not do it?

I read this thread several months ago, gonna have to read it again to refresh my memory. I do have suspension lift (Bilstein 6112/5160 + AAL).

Depending on the AAL, it might be that making the noise. I know the toytec, procomp, and most AALs don't come with any rubber pads to stop squeaking. Wait, I just read your build on the left. I don't know much about the 3 leaf AAL, but check your pads. If anything, just pressure wash the leafs and shoot with a good silicone lube or graphite lube spray. I like the PB blaster from Home Depot. They have the best prices on PB blaster i have found.
