is it still ifs? I suspect its just a db lift judging by the fact that he has sliders with steps on them, if they're sliders at all :p

With 40K plus enough for a Tundra, my co-worker got the 2015 Tundra PRO new $43K

2nd and 3rd Gen Tacoma are just Tacundras .... on my book only pre tacomas (1984 to 1995) and 1995.5 to 2004 are real Tacomas:thumbsup:

Both clean, great looking trucks. I'm not a fan of the monster truck style though. So impractical.

I think they really got away from what the Tacoma was all about initially. It's a compact truck; it's not supposed to be a giant. Even the 1st Gen Tundras were small trucks. Now they've all grown like they've been on roids.

    Yeah, pavement princess for sure.

    All show and no go.

It's a really nice looking truck but it's not built for a functional purpose..just looks - which isn't my cup of tea.

Some giveaways are the spacer lift and raptor side step thingers. Also, is that a body lift as well? There's a big gap between the rear bumper and the hitch.

It's got a huge drop bracket lift too by the looks of it (doesn't look SAS, can see the CV boot in the 2nd photo. Only way I'd want a 1st gen lifted that high is if it were on a solid front axle.

I'm a bigger fan of 1st gens with bigger tires + smaller lifts (< 3"). Looks better and more practical than big tires and huge lifts that turn them into mini monster trucks, though that can look cool in its own right if that's the look they're after.

A DB is better then a DB with body lift on top .

If by "nice" you mean clean, then yeah, I'll give you that - It's certainly clean. But IMO not that great looking of a rig, overall... But I'm more of a function over form kinda guy anyway.

Pretty much anything that high is going to be a pavement princess, or maybe a mudder, but judging by the treat left on those tires, it probably doesn't do well in the mud, either, lol.

There's really no reason to go that high for "real" wheelin. All that does is make the CG super high and more likely to roll over.

Methinks he got the biggest tires he could afford, then kept lifting it until it stopped rubbing.

Toyota is still living off their legacy from the 80s.

I don’t think a 6 cylinder has ever had to work harder in its life.

Meh...I still like it. We all get our kicks one way or another, maybe this guy just wanted to lift his little truck and cruise around town. I say good for him, at least it was a pleasure for my eyes.

It wouldn't be tacomaworld if the brand superiority complex didn't bleed downstream into generational bickering and mod quibbles.

Agreed. I was trying to be positive. Lol.

I think we have similar build ideas/philosophies. Nothing goes on my truck for pure athletics. It’s all about function.

My gas mileage isn’t bad at all. That’s my truck that of lifted. I fill up maybe once a week. Only cost at the most $35 to fill.
