Had a good day with the truck. Changed the radiator fluid, serpentine belt, diff fluid, oil, cleaned the air filter and rotated the tires. Also adjusted the e brake. Then put the tent back on and got her ready for summer!

I need a new grease gun. Mines shit.

Ill be taking a trip up to the Oregon coast / Rogue river area at the end of this month to do some fishing / camping. Wondering if any folks in here would care to share some ideas / input.

Would be AMAZING if I could fish for chinook, although not sure its the best time of year for that?

How about shore fishing on the coast, any info here would be great as I have never shore fished an ocean.

We also want to do some clamming and possibly crabbing.

Want to camp on the beach a couple nights as well, any spots people care to share? We are very respectful campers and always do a walk around picking up any trash we can before leaving.

Also please feel free to PM is you would like.

Sadly the salmon runs have suffered the past few years - https://www.statesmanjournal.com/st...t-spring-chinook-season-gearing-up/421836002/

For clamming, you'll want a really low tide, most coastal towns have shops where you can buy/rent shovels & gear.

While there are places you can drive on the beach, I don't think beach camping is legal in OR. That said, there are numerous parks where you can camp in the dunes just off the beach.

The more I'm on tw...the more annoyed I get.. I like to be different then most with my truck. But all be dammed everything I add when it's brand new jist gets raped by everyone here...

Was in The very first gb for cvt, very early on the prinsu, switch panels, Light kits... now it seems I can't even drive around without noticing that on someone's truck here. I should go back to stock, that's not the style anymore lol.

I've noticed the same, not just TW, on other social media outlets and locally through various off-road stores and also what I see just driving down the road. Not that it makes me mad per say, just amazed how things have taken off for the aftermarket accessory/overland scene. Just out of curiosity I looked at some armor manufacturers recently and my jaw about hit the floor on the prices they charge for their basic bumper/slider products. I've also noticed people are willing to pay near new prices for used gear, so when I sold my rtt and other stuff, I didn't loose my ass. Some companies are behind on fulfilling orders and customers have money to burn on impulse items that they don't want to wait 6+ weeks for.

What gets me is the market for the little things in the off-road market, like slider adapters for hi-lifts or base plates, which for me having access to scrap steel at work is sooo simple to make and cheap, I'm amazed at the prices people are willing to pay for the basicBRO shit. Don't get me started on the assault(beaver) shovels, gas cap holders, $24 badges for my truck or color matched traction aids. I could go on and on.

Bahahahah stay in your cave like I do. In other words out of sight out of mind.

With the miles I traveled and no beaver shovel or traction board I don' know how I ever made it:rofl:

Maybe I'm just old school. I didn't have all the fancy gagetry that they available now 18yrs ago when I was young and dumb with my first vehicle. Hell, my Tacoma is the only truck I've ever had a winch on and I'm about to make it 2 winches.. My 1980 Toyota wasn't ready for my 16yr old ass to use and abuse it like I did and, driving it places getting my ass stuck 20miles up the middle of nowhere with just a come along and strap or a shovel and no cell phone or forum of friends to come save my ass. Walked my ass miles out of places a handful of times for help.

    Do I sound bitter? :anonymous:
