Cop let me go b/c of Taco!!!!

So I got pulled over today on the freeway (610-W) on way home from army surplus store. Cop walked up and immediately asked if there were any weapons in the car. Obviously, with my license plate and NRA & gun stickers on the back window he was concerned. I explained there was a gun in glovebox and magazines in the center console. He asked me to step out of vehicle.......long story short, ran my gun....CLEAN of course, and said he pulled me over for changing lanes without a blinker (true, my bad). He gave me my gun back and explained the mags were still in console. He then asked about my ammo cans and how I did it, the black front valence, and my lift. Said he had a brand new 2010 TRD OR and wanted to mod it up. Had a 20 min conversation on the side of road with him and then he let me go and said to use blinker next time. I told him about this site and he was stoked......So if he joins the site and reads this, THANKS BRO...I mean OFFICER.

I find reasons to love this truck more and more everyday

That's awesome. The last cop that pulled me over and asked if I had weapons tricked me told me and said there was a warrant out for my arrest. he played me until the piss was just about to come out. He was a cool guy, just didn't ask about my truck.lol

 

Thats cool dude! Just be nice to them and respect them and what they do for theirjob and they will show you respect too.

That is so true. They have a tough job that gets tougher by the day. I wouldn't want it.

 

You can get a ticket for not using your blinker in TX? That sucks. haha. The whole world would be getting pulled over here in SD.

 

No their not all bad. Especially since I know them all in my town!!!

 

AZ too. it was one of my first tickets :/ 3 in one night for gay sh** like that.

 

I'll bet you COULD get a ticket there too...but somethings get left to slide.

 

I WISH people got pulled over for that more. A guy I know got pulled over for it in Poway. It's not that hard to use your directional.

I've always had good experiences with cops when I hand over my CCL and say "yes sir", "no sir". I had a cop tell me that if I had a CCL he generally assumes I'm an ok citizen since you had to pass a background check to get a CCL.

 

Nice. Coming from a family of police. Most bigger city police officers are cool as hell. The small town cops are usually dick heads and the state troopers/highway patrols are unpredictable, depends.
