Small question guys. I just bought a set of AVS vent visors for my 07 Access cab so there are only the front windows needed. I got them from Pep boys and they are "made for my truck." But I am having a small issue: It seems to me the adhesive is on the wrong side and the power windows won't go up if the adhesive position is used the have it on. In other words it seems the adhesive should be on the other side. Is your visor outside the channel for the window or inside?Anyone else have this issue or is it just me? Of course it is...my luck. ;)

they make in channel and above the window styles. make sure to check the instructions and the packaging to see which ones you have. the way ur talking, it sounds like u have the above the window style, but are trying to use them as in channels

    getting there....

i have the one with 3m tape also, work great. i guess the only upside for the in-channel's is that they may look a little better. other than that, the 3m tape is good stuff, and it wont mess up paint either.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I'm trying to narrow down what vent visors to get. I like the idea of the in-channel ones because of the clean look and easy install, but I hear some reviews on AutoAnything where people complain about problems closing the power windows. Unfortunately they rarely include what vehicle they have, so I thought I'd ask here whether Tacoma owners have that issue?

I've narrowed my search down to Weathertech and EGR? Has anyone compared them side by side? Recommendations? Are there other brands I should check? Other drawbacks to going with an in-channel style?

I eventually got the in channel EGR's, they are great and do not affect the power windows at all.
