Ahh geez.. it's not fake and I'm not bashing or whining or looking for attention. There is a lot of passion in my voice. Vehicles to me are more than "its just a truck". Put yourself in my shoes and see how you would feel. Anyways. Thank you to all the compassionate and considerate folks for your advice and input. You have helped me (which is what a group like this is for) to see that I have the very truck I have always wanted and we will get through this. Right now I'm not happy, but one day all the bugs will get worked out and one day someone will even make a supercharger. And like any relationship, at the end of it I will look back and it will all be worth it. Here's to a million miles!

Look, the Taco is generally a good truck.... it ain't perfect.

Low end grunt ain't going to happen, you really have to tell it to go, but go it will if you tell it loud enough. I'm not sure if the howling rear end will really get fixed unless you go install a set of gears correctly (I suspect too much lash), leaf springs might need some cleaning on occasion. Otherwise, these trucks are generally pretty good and reliable. Sounds like you didn't get their best effort. I sincerely hope they get it sorted out for you in short order. I do think that once you get it sorted out, your truck will be like the majority.

 

Glad you got it sorted out. It can definitely get frustrating looking at your new truck on a lift. I hate even driving to the dealership.

Your friends 2013 was a second gen, my 06 is 12 years old. Has never shit the bed on me or had any major mechanical issues.

Has your frame been replaced? The warranty replacement runs out on it in May.
