so I purchased a pair of these for a piece of equipment I own.. and I am very impressed, to say th least. I have them all wired up but not really in use just yet... how would this compare to a vision x 6.7 inch light cannon if I may ask? A friend of mine just purchased a set of those..

I own the LP9's as well and am blown away with them. Ridiculously bright.
Just looked up the specs of the light cannon's, looks like they're only about 1/5 the lumen output of the LP9s so I'd venture to say the LP9 would be much much brighter. Certainly more usable light being as they combine side, wide, and spot all in one light. The Light cannon looks like it would be strictly spot/ distant beam.

Also, for your term 'equipment' I assume low speed, wide area would be the type of light output you are looking for on it? The XL80 work/scene pattern may be better for your application

I appreciate th input! Well maybe I should explain my situation a little more.. I say equipment but what it is, is ime from eastern Washington and it’s a big bale stacker.. So I end up stacking a lot at night an yes I need close up lighting.
But I also need lighting to go way down range to see that last bale on th other side of the circle..

What I had on there was a 6.7 Light cannon the old 50 watt version. And I wanted somthing that had th same distance but maybe with a little more coverage/spread.. I am just a little worried that I will have excellent coverage but not th 1/2 mile distance like I need? Or no?

I saw this site because I have a 1989 Toyota pickup and liked all th lighting talk so I figured ide post up..

I already have a set of XL80 for my side lights. They are th driving combo pattern.. Very impressed. And then also there’s a 4 inch square vision X flood light pointing out 45 degree. How do I upload a photo?

Whenever I see equipment like this I think of Pauly Shore singing John Denver's "Thank God I'm A Country Boy", always.

I know it’s just a number but with the Vision X stuff I was talking of earlier they advertise 3,000 feet. I can expect that kind of distance your thinking? I bought th driving/combo pattern as I like both worlds. Can someone explain th difference between the all spot pattern and the racer edition..?

The racer is the even more focused distance pattern over the regular spot or combo pattern lights. My BD rep told me the racer pattern is for guys doing 100+mph, but your application may suit the pattern as well if you are really looking for absolute reach of the light.

Well since I ran a wireing harness up each mirror I have two extra plugs. Maybe I just need two more lights now:thumbsup:!! I think 4 LP9s and a pair of xl80’s would look quite nice!

I have a set on the front of my 4runner. Havent had to get to use them too much though because they're so bright. I need to get some night shots of them to really show just how bright they are. I still have a 40" Baja Designs light bar I was going to put on the roof rack, but i'm not sure I'll even bother any more.

    Thanks for posting up.

We don't have exact distance measurements but I'm confident you'll be impressed with the new setup. If for any reason you're not happy please give us a call at 800-422-5292. We do have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee and are happy to work with you on the perfect setup.

The difference between the LP9 Spot and the LP9 Racer Edition is the LED that's being used. They are very similar however the Racer features a "dome-less" LED which takes the optic degree down from 6 to 4 degrees. This in return gives you much more long range distance! This is great for very high speeds or applications where you need to see VERY far down range.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
