those against this law have ZERO argument. It is funny watching the media skew facts, and hearing the illegals being interviewed on TV. This would be comical if our society wasn't so susceptible to this crap. I love AZ more and more every day. You guys have really got it together, I just wish the rest of the country would follow suit.

Illegals, you DO NOT have a right to be here, you ARE NOT an American citizen, you DO NOT have a valid argument in this case. Go home, get some papers, and come back as a tax-paying citizen and enjoy American dream with us all. Until then STFU.

My problem with this is not about race. I am neither Mexican or Hispanic...it's about my constitutional rights. I don't want to carry a US passport or Birth Certificate with me period. I would bet 97% of ALL Americans DON"T carry one on them either. What next...require me to have a certain income or heritage or license to own a gun?

If I lived in AZ, I would be more than happy to drive around with a copy of my birth certificate in my glove box. It's not like it takes any extra time to hand it over with your license / insurance / registration. WTF is the big deal?

you bring up a good point sir.. :)

I guess it's tough being close to the border and looking just like the people from the other side. you know? I don't have family or any place to go if I were to ever be mistakenly sent to mexico.

Unless they provide false identification...or they just disappear.

Not to mention- You can still be detained while they determine you citizenship/legal status...Why not carry one extra piece of paper to simplify that process from possible hours to minutes??

I am new on here. I just bought a 06 prerunner this week. I love the truck. The last thing that I want is for an illegal alien to hit me and not have a liscence or insurance. I do not want to get stuck with the bill, and I sure dont want to loose my new sweet truck. Is it that big of a deal to show them your liscence? I am dark skinned. And if a police officer pulls me over to ask me for my liscence just to see it, I wouldnt mind...as long as it did not make me late for work.

Not many illegals have the cash to get here the first time- They owe part of the money they make to organized crime in a large majority of instances.

but what if it did make you late? what if you got fired for being late? it was all because the law allowed a cop to suspect you were an immigrant and therefore had to make sure. sucks, I know

I know. Maybe a license is good but what if I had an accent on top of having dark skin and the cop didn't believe me?

I think you probably didn't read me right. I do not have a problem with showing an officer an ID. Absolutely NO Problem. Driving is a priveledge and can be taken away.

A Passport or Birth Certificate is NOT AND NEVER HAS BEEN a requirement. And that is where I draw the line. Check this out...I bet you wouldn't like it if this happened to you. This is what I am talking about.

I've talked to people at school who are immigrants. The coyotes won't bring anyone unless they have cash, or their family in the U.S. has the cash. No IOU's there.
