    Thats not what OP is asking. His question rather points at the intricacies of false arvertising.

    Why would someone add a 4x4 badge / sticker / vinyl, if said vehicle is not actually one?

    The answer is simple, pick one:

    a) Person who lacks integrity / principals.
    b) Person is clueless / ignorant.

    Many care, hence; why the question gets asked again and again.
