Very nice. That's basically where I'm starting, just to have an intro to lifting my truck. You just used stock springs to level and preloaded them a bit?
Did you run stock tires/wheels while using the 5100s?

    Is that a 285 or a 275 tire?

Yeah I just used the stock coils and I actually got the TRD Pro rims with 265/70/R17 at that time. Now running SCS wheels w/ 275/70/R17. Pics of before and after below.

Where is the best place to buy rims online from? Shipping to Hawaii is always a pain too

Damn that's a sexy setup. I've been bouncing back and forth from Fox, to Icon and now to King. I think ultimately, the tipping point is how good they'll look with my BBP hahah. I'll probably not go billet UCA's though, just to save a bit there. Did you get them with the compression adjusters?? I'm gonna go stalk you on IG now

Not sure how much it’ll cost for Hawaii but I bought the pro rims from a Toyota dealer online (link). I’d suggest going to your local dealer and see if they can price match. For SCS, they sellout all the time and they’re hard to get but I got I was able to get them from Freeman Toyota at full price (link). Good luck!!

Yeah i have the compression adjusters. I’d go with Kings or the higher end Fox with the adjusters (not the basics) since these brands are progressive shocks. For UCAs, if I didn’t get billet ones then I would recommend getting Total Chaos. Thanks for the follow on IG, just started that account not too long ago so hopefully more to come.

Yeah they quoted me 193.50 per, plus tax so like $810, which is probably about 80$ more expensive than what you paid, but that $80 probably covers the shipping to our damn state.

Yeah, I just started reading more about the digressive and progressive differences. ICON's are digressive and people say the ride is a bit bumpier at normal around town speeds? How do the King's hold up around town for you? On highway?

Yeah digressive is a tad stiffer at first so I hear. The Kings are literally night and day compared to stock and I swear by them. They handle really well around town. Only recommendation I have is if you don’t need E rated tires then go with C for a smoother ride and don’t preload them too much if you don’t need to. My ride at 1 1/4” lift with C rated was pretty plush. Now I have E rated at 2 1/4” and it’s a little bit stiffer but still a really nice ride.

Running Kings up front just shy of 3” lift and 285s. SCA UCAs for a bit more travel. Will be adding an additional 150lbs up front in the next couple of weeks that should settle the front closer to 2.5” over stock. Deaver leafs and OME struts in the rear which settled in at 2” higher than stock. Truck sits level at this point. Love the setup so far, but haven’t been offroad yet.

I do have the full stock OR suspension available in AZ if anyone is interested. Roughly 16k miles on it.

If read that 5100s are as “rough” or more than TRD sport shocks, is this true?

Only if you preload them too much would I say they're rough.

Use them set at 0 with aftermarket springs and they're just a little firmer than the OR OEM, firmer in that they recover faster than the bouncy 4600HD shocks but definitely not rough.

How much lift do you have hear? with this offset (-10mm) what size BFGs were you able to fit?

As a note for the OP - i found a really good middle ground for the time being running the Bilstein 6112 shocks up front.

Hmm... what about with .85 of preload in the front? How would that compare to the stock OR suspension?

I have about 2 1/4” lift in the front, 1 1/2” in the rear with 275/70/17 tires. Normal street driving they didn’t rub at all even at full turn but did rub at a turn when the wheel was stuffed but only on the plastic fender so a little trimming did the trick. Doesn’t rub on the cab mount and that’s why I went this route vs 285s

Its a really good looking stance - i'm currently running 275/70/17s but i rub on the UCAs. Looks like if i go with this wheel i'll get the offset to fix the rubbing and get the stance i want. Any chance you have a picture from the from or back?

Like I said at 0 the 5100s are already a little firmer than the bouncy OEM OR, bumping up to 0.85 would be a little firmer than that.... firmer but not rough.

If looking to bump up a little why not just skip the preload and add a 1/2 inch spacer or go with 885 springs to raise the front to level.

Ride would be softer than the preload either way, spacers are less than $75, springs are less than $200.

Spacer would raise the truck about an inch without affecting ride, 885 would raise it 1.5 -2 inches depending on if you're a double or access cab.

What pic did you need? From the back of the truck or wheel by the UCA?
