Yeah that would be good to know. Looks like a Chevy Dana 60 front. Wonder what the rear is? Toyota 22r and some duals would be bulletproof in it. You have a welder? Going to be a lot of fab work to complete it. But if you have the time it would be bitchin.

I only work 3 days one week. And 4 days the next.

The girlfriend dumped me on Thursday morning because I didn't wanna have kids or get married for a couple years...she already had the one little guy.... So I now have a much more open schedule, and more money to do what i want instead of "we " want.......

And what better way to get over someone than bringing a new girl home?:D and that one wouldnt leave inexpectedly. Bahaha.:spending::spending::cheers:

If it has mounts and such for an LS I would go that route. A good friends dad works for American auto recycling and can get me good deals on a pull out with accessories and ecm etc. Im more curious if the axles have been gone through or not. Etc.

At that cost I wouldn't think so. But you never know.

agreed, just curious more than anything. always try to know as much as I can before biting the bullet. its a big project, so anything that has been done(if correctly) is a nice plus.

Alright so this is where I'm at.

He is looking to get $4k for it with the wheels and tires. Firm.

14bolt rear, 60 up front. Front axle has no shafts, rear has shafts. He has 4.56 ring and pinions for front and rear.tires are brand new but are about 6 years old. Wheels are new. Just used for mock up and rolling it around. Comes with ram. Has 6 hole arms. Chassis was widened up front to fit an ls. Links and mounts are done except for upper rears.....supposed og owner did a bad job welding on brackets though, so they need cut off and redone, not a huge deal, but I wonder whatelse I will find thats not up to snuff if someone started hacking at it already...

Overall a good deal. Does need a ton of work which is fine. However, I'm not sure i want to build an x chassis, there are other chassis I tend to research more often and if I'm going to spend the time and money on a tube crawler, I think i would like to start with a chassis that someone else hadn't hacked on already. Although, this is the easiest stage of the game to fix someones fab mistakes... So I'm mulling it over in my head. In the meantime I'm going to the bank so if i decide to call him back, I'm ready to go.

He did say a guy is coming from California Friday if no one local gets it first. Who knows if that's just to give a little pressure to the potential buyers (me) or not.

That is a lot of info. Not sure if the wheels and tires would be worth raising the price? What kind of wheels? Any lockers in those axles? For the cost I don't think the X chassis is a bad choice. I am sure @RPS1030 will have some good words of wisdom on it.

Yeah, I just called the guy a bit ago. He has other toyota crawlers. Seemed pretty cool and smart.

Its not a bad price at all. But there are alot of options out there too. I have been looking at the goatbuilt ibex, or something like a bent fab, or jimmys etc.
