I see what you're talking about! The whole "tested for life in Canada" stuff. I can understand that! Still can't beat some of the CTC sales regardless.

Kind of funny the 4 cylinder trans is considered more robust than the v6. The v6's have a lot more power than the little 4 cylinders.

There's only one thing left to do!!

Start passively looking for a trailer.

Cool, I'll keep an eye out.

Next coffee night we will have to talk and sketch pintle / lunette conversions.

I have a plan, but I'd like to bounce the idea off you and anyone else who can contribute to a pretty basic metal fabrication job that has to be strong and multi-directional.

I have the 3/4 ton MANAC, but they were divested long ago. You will find the LSVW trailer on there from time to time though, it is the one that replaced mine. Might be a hair lighter, surge brake is the same, box dimensions are the same, wheels different.

I'll look up the proper name for it so you can search for it if you want.

I'm not too concerned! I think I could build one and have pretty good results.

If I were to use aluminum, I think I could save a decent amount of wait.

I really like the size of your trailer.

    I've already got plans brewing

What are the approximate measurements of your trailer?

    Sorry for the topic change.....but.....
Used to be a kit you could buy online called the "SCUBA MOD" for the FJ. I did mine with the union from a Camry that fit into the rear end perfectly (insert childish giggle) and then we all used fuel line and reused the popper cap either up in the gas cap housing or inside the truck. Mine is in the cubby hole with my jack.

These videos were and are done by a shop called "Last Great Roadtrip" and since so much of the FJ and Taco are alike some of these would definitely apply to you guys with the 4.0
