Those Yakima bars are not technically rated for RTTs though. Truck covers usa already has a Yakima version out. I’m going voodoo and retrax.

Thanks, I just needed something for bikes and kayaks, but the voodoo is about the same price and seems much stronger.

Great idea... this has kind of been bugging me that I can't get that second click on the last panel. Quick question, does this affect closing it through the second click if you take the brackets off? My intuition is no... but just curious.

It took us forever to get rid of the last batch of silver, whereas the black flies off the shelves.

I'm interested in this setup with an RTT. No tonneau cover, but I do run with a Toyota OEM toolbox. I read through this entire thread yesterday, and remember reading about the height of the crossbar from the bed rail to the bottom of the crossbar - 4.5" if I'm correct. I'd like to run the crossbars with an RTT WITHOUT removing the toolbox. Anywho, I need at least 6 inches (yeah, that's what she said) between the bed rail and the top of the crossbar (the top of the toolbox is 6" from the bed rail). Since the crossbars are 1.5" tall, I assume I'm good? Can someone confirm?

I'm cool with not having access to the toolbox with this setup, and I have a 6' bed, so I should have plenty of room for spacing the crossbars appropriately.

The top of the crossbar is exactly 6" from the bed side rail.

My Rocky Mounts aren’t working for me. Just wanted to let you know. Read thread link below. I will look for a different bike tray to mount to the voodoo crossbars.

Just about to ask how you lock in the back wheel on one of these because I haul my bike to races.

I guess you could use a cable lock and wrap it around the cross bar and bike frame.

I think with the OEM tonneau cover, your voodoo brackets can be spaced further apart than mine? I’m limited by the roll up cover I have. If I was able to have my brackets farther apart, then I could use a separate fork mount on the front if you can find one that bolts on to the voodoo bar. I know voodoo has some and they have a rear tray if you can make the spacing work. See here http://www.kbvoodoo.com/shop/rear-tire-tray

Other setups I’ve seen using the bed rack system.

So what are our options for bike carriers with these bars and spacing? Just installed a retrax Pro and these voodoo bars. Was hoping rocky mounts would work as I really like their trays. But now I don’t know what to do!!! Would their trays that aren’t fork mounted work?
