Mine still looked damn near new at 90k miles. I think it depends on whether or not you have the auto LSD which uses your rear brakes to mimic LSD, towing, off roading, etc. For normal driving, they seem to last a really long time.
    Best response!

OEM rotors warp way too easily.. Mine are warped already and they have about 15k on them. I will definitely run aftermarket performance rotors next time instead.
    My current front setup:
    Hawk HPS Pads
    OEM Rotors
Stainless extended lines (unnecessary I know but oh well my oem lines were all janky)
Brand new oem calipers left/right all lubed up

My next go around will be the same pads but with aftermarket rotors.

As for the rears - the first time mine were done was at about 110k... and they were down to the metal (previous owner never did it and the dealership said it had new brakes all around when I bought it and well low and behold it was a lie)

Replaced with all new aftermarket oem stuff - still have some adjustment issues - I do not suggest buying aftermarket oem-style stuff for the rear brakes... I got f'ked by the guy who did the rear brakes - paid OEM prices because I requested OEM and 15k miles later I found out they were autozone specials.

Same here. Been having a rough few weeks @ work and lately I'm finding myself basically hating everyone. This winter has been doing a number on the house/yard as well. With the baby the time the wife and I have together to just relax is really tiny these days. We have had two real date nights since the baby was born.

So many stupid little things have been getting under my skin and I've been an awful person to be around, admittedly.

I don't run TPMS in my winter setup either. I'd like to eventually use cloned senses or something but for now, who cares.

In happier news my best friend just traded his old WRX wagon for a new Civic Si sedan and is giving me his old Pioneer app radio for the Vette. I'm super excited since I'll gain BT and CarPlay. The Vette had a nearly top-of-the-line in 2007 Kenwood unit that was garbage then and even worse now. The AVIC I had in my STi was night and day in terms of features, and that boggled my mind.

I wish Eclipse still made head units. I have an oldie but goodie. Just doesn't have the features a new radio does

I was just thinking about them. I remember when they had first come out with navigation units Eclipse was one of the few with a dual slot setup which had the nav disc in one and the CD/DVD in the other.

In 10+ years working on Toyota’s for a living I could probably count on both hands the number of drum brakes I’ve replaced. Ive pulled drums off 200k+ mile trucks to replace the parking brake cables and the shoes still have life left.

I kind of like the stock FJ headunit:anonymous:

    Rear discs ftw....:bananadance:

I just got a box of crap to do my rear brakes from vatozone today. They were last don't ~110k miles and I'm at ~195k now. I haven't had any issues with the AutoZone gold pads. I think a lot of the problem is people not bedding them correctly. Rotors don't warp on a street driven vehicle, it's uneven pad deposit from improper bedding

I run AutoZone gold rotors and AutoZone gold maxx pads. Haven't had an issue. I did have an issue with powerstop rotors warpping very badly before though

Same. I actually got the AutoZone gt pads this time for kicks and since they had a $30 rebate so the rears ended up being like $20
