On a different topic, I got some OEM headlights for $20 this weekend. Hoping to use them for a retrofit set. Anybody here has experience with this?

 

@eccracer104 has done some headlight mods. Maybe he can help.

 

I've read the DIY that i was able to find on here but they weren't really DIY lol

 

You need to bake them in the oven. Place on piece of wood or cardboard. Turn oven on to 300. When it gets there turn it off then place light in oven on board or cardboard. Wait ten minutes and pull it out then start prying the lens from the housing apart. Start at the big plastic tab on top. When it cools down to much to work any further, bake them again. Sometimes can take 3 or 4 bakes to get them undone. Go slow, pry forceful but gentle. Be patient and a lot of things can be reshaped with a heat gun.

 

What questions do you have?

I've done a few BHLM sets, and built this set of retrofits for myself. Only thing I haven't done yet is set the aim as they're still waiting to be installed.

 

We occasionally have Thursday brewery meets in NC SD. Last one was on the 8th at pizza port.
