How do I get in touch with Bob? I'd like a homelink, temp and compass auto dim mirror for my 2015.

installed the mirror very easy and works great. one thing the garage door buttons do not light up at night had to turn on dome light to see the button. i assume i will learn where the button is and be able to push it in the dark. also is there any way to fine tune the compass? i did drive in a circle and it did program but is slightly off compared to the GPS compass in nav on the head unit screen. one might say N and the other says NW. no big deal but if there is a way to adjust i would.

Use the garage door button in the middle of the mirror and you'll opening the door by touch in no time. How many lights do you want up there? Use either the HU or the mirror compass to not have conflict. Have you done calibration of compass on HU?

HU no, is that the same drive around in circles. i programed the garage door via the learning button on the opener to the far left button on the mirror. tried to also program it to the next button over but it would not program

not sure what procedure is on those HU's or if it even has a procedure to calibrate. It's a little tricky programming mirror for rotating code door openers but I got both doors on all 3 of my vehicles done. It should just be a sequence of button hitting and going into learning mode on door opener to program more buttons on mirror. IIRC hold the desired button on mirror until it flashes then put opener in learning mode then a certain amount of time to do something with mirror again.

I might be asking for too much, but can the newer mirrors with temp/compass AND backup-camera be fitted into an 09 taco? I'd really like a trmp/comp display but not at the cost of my camera.

Saw the bulletin on your eBay store Bob, loss is never easy, and there's no timeline for your emotions so take things easy.

I set some radio stations. That's about it so far.
Just another satisfied customer of Bob’s. Transaction went without a snag. Fast shipping, and a great product. I installed the mirror this morning. About 2 hours from start to finish. Everything seems to work great. Very happy with this mod. I can finally get rid of the garage door opener that either kept falling off the sun visor, or rattled around in one of the cup holders! Compass and temp sensor doing their part too.

    Gentex Mirror installed.

Really missed the temp display, compass and Homelink from my 2007 2WD Tacoma. Got a Gentex mirror from Bob's Mirrors and install was pretty simple. Did have to send a quick Email asking about polarity of connecting wires but he responded quickly and finished the install. A mod I really like although Tacoma should have included the same mirrors on their latest vehicles. They had a high failure rate and think it was trying to tie in the mirror with the temp gauge monitoring the radiator at the same time. Pictures show the new mirror and once I get my ScanGauge back with updated firmware it will be remounted also. Thanks Bob for great service and a great product. You have a blessed day also.

Looks good John! Good to know that the additional spacer you got for the mirror worked out too - without it, it might be a bit tight with the added equipment you have up by your mirror. Thank you very much once again for buying the mirror from us!!

Hello, I purchased the Gentex mirror with the console light in the bottom years ago, it's been working fine until recently, the console light doesn't come on anymore. I suspected it needs a new bulb; however, I don't have any idea how to get the buld replaced, I searched the Google for the instruction manual with no avail. Anyone with the experience of this issue please enlighten me your advice.
    Thanks.

Thought I would post a few more pictures of my new mirror install. Used a BlendMount mount that is just intended for the ScanGauge and modified it to accept the faceplate for my Ham radio. Note that I purchased the extension for the mirror from Bob which moves it a bit more away from the windshield. Aside from all the washers to give the mount a bit more lift it is a much better set up now. Again, thanks to Bob for great addition to my truck. Everyone have a blessed day!

Hello everyone. Does anyone know if these mirrors will plug right into the factory temp sensor? I have an 08 that already has temp and compass in the overhead console, but I would like to relocate these to the mirror to free up that location for a switch panel.

Do those spacers come with wide wedge on one side and narrow wedge on the other?

We've not seen any to convert from narrow to wide wedge mounts. So far these are only available for the standard style of wedge mount (on both sides).

We actually have kits for the 2005-2008 Tacomas...here's more info: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...8-tacomas-to-replace-overhead-display.428956/ Then if you have any other questions or if you would like to order one, shoot me an email at rearviewmirrors@csinet.net (I can't get on the forum too much and for some reason, when people PM me here, I don't always get notifications of messages)
