your trucks do have throttle cut off at some point

can your truck do 110? sure
    should it? no

its really unsafe and pretty stupid to drive these trucks at those speeds...

i may be a LEO and you may think thats why im telling you not to drive that fast and you can call me a dick or a pansy or whatever you may think of...HOWEVER

about a year and a half ago one of my close friends from high school was driving his 03 tacoma down the road. He was doing around 80 and lost control of it...it threw him out of the vehicle as it rolled over 3 or 4 times and then landed on him

He wasnt killed when he was ejected or landed. He wasnt even killed when the truck landed on him. He died essentially from asphyxiation because the truck had landed on him in such a way that he couldnt breathe.

Trucks are incredibly easy to flip, especially at high speeds. When youre driving such exessive speeds you have little to no time to react to things and even the slightest turn of the steering wheel can send you careening over the embankment on the side of the interstate

if youre in an xrunner or something like this
    http://www.automotiveblogger.net/wp-content/uploads/2007/01/tacoma.jpg

and youre at a track...then by all means...drive as fast as you want

but not in truck that sits higher than a couple inches off the ground

Yes, they have a governer. Its at 112 mph. I think the X-runners are 120.
Being as most Off road tires are rated for 80 mph or there about, running a truck near 100 mph isnt a good ideea. $0.02

the xrunner is governed to ~125, and the prerunner and 4wds are ~115 i believe. its based on the tires that are on the vehicle stock.

radar detectors only give you a heads up that you have been caught, IMO.

On many truck sites for ford lightnings, Dodge trucks with the viper engines, and many sites about diesel trucks there are a lot of people that are interested in the street performance of trucks. People don't seem to take kind to talk about trying to make these tacomas faster. Many people rod trucks up for speed.
