Does anyone find it ironic that a bunch of TOYOTA TACOMA owners are complaining about illegals coming into the U.S. and taking jobs. Lets not even mention the TV, stereo, phone, computer and various other things produced outside the country everyone owns.

 

I am 100% born Mexican, but you know what, FIRST I am a damn tax paying, hard working, and defender of this country American. Should be an easy plan, either get a damn Social Security card, get a job, pay taxes or get the hell out.
The hard working middle class is the one that struggles the most for earning an honest living. Hiring and paying individuals under the table is bullshit for us. Make a deadline, become an american by that deadline, if not, your considered a trespasser and you will be deported..easy as that.

 

COmpletely different issue.
1) Most Tacomas- Made in the US.
2) All the import items- Have tariffs and taxes paid on them- So the arguments about the loss of jobs and drain on resources is moot.

I respect your opinion, but if you read the law, it doesn't say anything about pulling people over or questioning someone about their legal status, just because they "look Illegal" or if they happen to speak Spanish.
Police can only question someone about this if they have probable cause, such as a fake I.D., fake SSN, etc. Nor can Police ask anyone about this "just because they fell like it", only after they do a lawful stop, detention, or arrest. And after that if they have probable cause to think they are an Illegal immigrant, they then can question them on this, such as a fake I.D., etc.

So lets say Matt who happens to speak Spanish and happens to be of Hispanic heritage, and happens to be an Illegal Immigrant is walking down the street past an Officer. Matt is speaking Spanish and walks past the officer sitting in his car, the Officer does not have probable cause toquestion you about your legal status just because you happen to speak Spanish, or have a Hispanic heritage. And if he thinks you're an immigrant, he can't do anything about it anyways, nor can he question you about that.
After Matt passes the Officer, he gets in his car. In front of the Officer, Matt does a huge burnout and races down the street, and speeds. The Officer chases Matt down, and pulls him over. After the Officer checks Matt's I.D. off of his computer in his car, his I.D. turns out to be a fake, his SSN turns out to be a fake number too, and birthday, etc, etc. Then the Officer has probable cause to question Matt about his legal status. At this point it is pretty much clear that he could be an Illegal, and has probable cause to ask.

So let's say you (sirwamz) are walking down the street past an Officer in his car and you happen to speak Spanish, and you have a Hispanic heritage, and you are a legal citizen. And you get into your car, do a "FAT" Bad@ss Tacoma burnout in front of the Officer and speed away going over the speed limit. The Officer will pull you over and ask for your I.D. (driver license) insurance, SSN, etc. After the Officer checks your I.D. in his computer, it turns out to be valid, and all of the information on it matches his screen, your SSN is also a valid number matching your name and age etc, etc. He can't ask you jack squat about anything about your legal status. And he can't ask you about that just because you happen to speak Spanish, or look of a Hispanic heritage. Only after probable cause.
Catch my drift?

And if he asked you about your legal status without probable cause, I would be mad too. If that happens to happen, that Police officer can get into big trouble.

Anyways I don't want to get into a argument with you or anyone on this, I just wanted to put that out there. I also thank you for your service for our country, have a good weekend.

Anyone else agree that we need to stop supporting foreign governments with aid and use it to rebuild and strengthen America. Maybe use it to increase physical barriers and plus up manpower? The only way the boys and gals (I cant call them men and women-too childish) in DC are going to act is if people start pressing their congressmen and senators to take action. Or, with the campaigns winding down, redeploy forces down south to dismantle the cartels (they do after all, fit the definition of terrorists). I for one, am all for it.
