Yes I’m shooting for top of and upper side of frame on the lower part of the “c” pillar. I ran that lower tube across the bottom because I might have to raise the floor to the tube for the up travel of the upper links. I don’t understand what a single nobe is. No rear seats. Converting to storage. Yes I’m adding tube to the roof. Didn’t mock it up because I’m still driving the truck and don’t want shot falling on me.

Here is what I did, has the added benefit of clearing up space for compressor / battery / whatever. And also acts as a sort of snorkel as water and dust don't get in that area very easily... and it is still a cold air intake

    I used this:
    https://www.summitracing.com/nv/parts/spe-9751/overview/

plus a 4'' hole saw, took 10 minutes, just need to get some proper clamps now

Also used aluminum tape to cover factory intake hole

Without back seats the structure on the C pillar is overkill. Without back seats you're 3 tubes away from a race legal cage. Which is a plus.

That is an awesome set up. Kind of what I was thinking. Thanks for the pic. I rather be a little over kill then not doing it right. I was just thinking that the more strength to the "C" will help with the bed cage for coilover and bypasses.

To whoever was complaining about trying to get king bumps out of their mounts a few weeks ago...yeah they're a sob. Luckily I sprayed some lube in and let it soak for a little while. IMG_2087.jpg

And whoever suggested antiseize when they go back in, I'm definitely going to try that. This is after only 4 months

No it does. But my last build was there so had to pick that up to swap places. Shop is full. So I towed it out to be able to drop it off and use the trailer for the other truck which is a giant paper weight.......

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
    That was me lol
    Mine look disgusting
When I put mine back on I'm gonna fill the holes at the top of the can with hot glue to seal out the dirt and grime and if I need it I'll just peel it off

I'm no professional by any means and you can't put a price on your own safety so if it makes you feel better to have the inside completely filled with steel by all means go for it.
A small tidbit I've heard him say is no one tube should have more bends in it than what adds up to 120 degrees, I believe that was the figure. I didn't see that in your mockup but I was more amazed at the spiderweb of supports.

As for the supports themselves, again, I'm sure someone in this thread is more educated and experienced than myself in cage building but a simple X on tbe rear bulkhead and a single / slant in the middle should suffice.

Then you could get dimple plates to gusset the joints for added strength without adding hardly any weight.

Lastly when welding the halo you cut the floor in the body to allow the entire cage to drop down then pick it back up when done and weld in plates to the floor to support the cage and tie it into the body to prevent the uprights from punching through the sheet metal in the event of a rollover and to keep the cage in place.

Again though I am not the professional cage builder so please take my opinions with a grain of salt.

Hey bros and bras. I require you’re knowledge. What does everyone think about the 63 Chevy leaf swap? Good bad? Recommendations on which other way to go if bad? I’ll probably be going with some 14” icons. But the rears a whole new bread. Thanks!
