    8. When the flag is displayed in a manner other than by being flown from a staff, it should be displayed flat, whether indoors or out. When displayed either horizontally or vertically against a wall, the union should be uppermost and to the flag's own right, that is, to the observer's left. When displayed in a window it should be displayed in the same way, that is with the union or blue field to the left of the observer in the street. When festoons, rosettes or drapings are desired, bunting of blue, white and red should be used, but never the flag.

There are actually some interesting theories of interpretation when it comes to this situation. U.S. Flag Code doesn't specifically reference or permit decals on vehicles, instead it would be classified under the general section of "Therefore, actions not specifically included in the Code may be deemed acceptable as long as proper respect is shown." The section you are quoting is not apart of the Flag Code, but is commonly quoted by those that sell stickers, decals, etc. I believe @quis23 was referring to the direction of travel and the appearance of the Flag moving forward and never retreating. This is a Department of Defense directive and is again not part of the US Flag Code. Long story short, what you are doing is legal and correct, as it doesn't fall under any specific formal governance.

Sorry for the tirade.. I worked Protocol for some time, so this stuff was my bread and butter.

Anybody roughly know the dimensions for a box to ship both headlights in?
Getting my sent out to get retrofitted and I’m awful at box size guessing.

I had to use a dremel to cut off the lip on the back side and i also had to use a rubber spacer to keep the front from sitting to deep.
