I just did my own custom fab made them work took me 12 hours to get both of them on the truck. I did not but won’t use them ever again. One thing I can tell you guys is that @CBI Offroad Fab has some of the best customer services I have ever seen!! I got my bumper and sliders from them in less than 3 weeks!

Thanks. But I don't understand why you would bash a company for an error without giving them a chance to rectify the situation.

It’s not the first on here they have been. They were good folks and nice products but terrible fitment issues. I also got my bumpers and sliders quicker than my skids several weeks sooner!

I’m using the blue shock cause the bushings in better shape at the bottoms in better shape and I can’t get either bushing out to trade them.

That’s as far as I can get it to come out, I don’t know if there’s a spacer in there or wtf.

Yeah I love my swingout, there customer service was top notch and will use them Again for future needs!

Call them ahead of time and put down deposit so you won’t have to pay as much upfront. They will also start building it like they did with my stuff!

I think I'll try to make it happen again - I won't be in school, so it should be even easier!

i bet the coil will fit. But its gonna be compressed a lot and it might bottom out the coil and give you more lift.

why didn't you just buy two new throw away shocks?

Started building gen. 2 of my camping platform over the weekend.

Original was a 3/4 inch ply deck and 1/2 inch steel piping legs. As simple as possible, but comfy enough. Gen. 2 will have two 4 foot drawers, extra storage at the front of the bed, and access hatches on either side of the drawers. Yesterday I picked up a free table saw that'll cut down on build time for the drawers! Needs some TLC, but hopefully not too much work. Definitely needs a fence.

What's the bolt with the green washer holding? I don't recall that on either of my trucks.

That's a good idea! I didn't know they offered that. I'll look into that more then

Oh I know! I want to but with starting a new job this month I won't have much vacation time and the little I have will be used for holidays

Looks like it was a replacement to hold the rubber fender liner in place. I need to make a new set of those soon, will probably replace all the plastic clips with a more robust fastener of some sort.

    Lol.

You know those stupid clips that hold on rubber inner fender shield?

I changed them over to wall grommets. The things push into drywall so you can hang a picture where no stud exists.

The green washer is the washer from an insulation nail. Gives a larger area to clamp down on the rubber sheeting.

I've been using this methods for years on all the wrecks I rebuild.

That's a shame, I like @BudBuilt and they seem like a really cool company...I feel like that may have just been a fluke error in the production of your particular set, I'd be willing to bet that they would have taken care of you if you called them up. I understand not wanting to have to wait for a new set though. I have a full set of their skids that I bought off of @Dalandser and they bolted right on like a glove. I will say that they don't seem quite as beefy as some other brands I've looked at recently in person...they aren't reinforced the way that Motbown or BAMF does theirs. A couple big hits on some rocks recently has put some good size dents in my front skid. But it's by far 100x better than the stock tin can that I had on there previously.
