@OnHartung'sRoad - There are aluminum spacers between the bumper and the frame. To mount the recovery bar you remove the spacers and put the recovery bar in their place. A little trimming on the grill and everything fits. There was no interference with the skid plate because the recovery bar goes up straight off of the frame and bumper. There's actually some YouTube videos for installation which would probably be clearer than my explanation.

Removed the Curt hitch last weekend and installed my custom SSO bumper that had been sitting for the last 5 months. Returns me to my original approach angle, provides greater recovery capability plus a more solid mounting location for the receiver. Had to dump the Apex mount for my 32" light bar and move to the SHSD brackets instead but that works out better as well because the light bar is now higher and slightly less obstructed.

Nice! Did SSO charge you any extra to have the receiver instead of a winch mount?

Do you know what these SSO bumpers weigh. I'm running a 2.7 and trying to cut weight.

I think the shipping box said 47 pounds. I didn’t weigh it.

Think it only comes in steel.

Thank you very much. I think I can go with the 887s w/2.7.

If I recall correctly it was $99 but then the group by was 20 or 25 percent off when I bought it. SSO took my specific measurements and made it perfectly. Weight was about 40 lbs more after netting out the plastic and aluminum I removed.

Question about running the standard curt front hitch...is it possible to install a Westin Brush Guard if you have a standard front hitch on? Thanks
