    Guess it's kinda subjective, but if you had $1000 to spend would you use it to upgrade your stock rims, or put it toward this head unit. Have an 18 OR with JBL.

    Alpine claims it to be very sturdy . One of the pics on their site is on a Tacoma. I would think they would keep off roading in mind.

    Personally I’m also going to replace my rims but will do it when the current tires need replacement. Since I want to replace those too for something a little more agresive looking.
    But for now they look good enough and work as intended. The entune premium system that I have is a different story.

    Yea I would keep my stock tires for now because they are brand new and not worth much to sell. Maybe I'll do the same, hold off until I need new tires and go for a complete upgrade. Sounds like I'll be getting this head unit. Do you guys see any reason to spend more on the ILX309 $899 vs the ILX207 $599?

    They are both an upgrade with Carplay/Android. Is the larger screen worth the $300.Unless there is more than that I missed or didn't read.

    One of the big reasons why I’ve held off on the upgrade. Is because I like the look of the entune system. Just the look.. lol.
    Putting a 7 inch in there is going to end up with an ugly plain frame around it.
    The 9 inch I think will look more factory and elegant than any 7 inch.

    True, definetly a nicer look and for $300 why not. They are supposedly back in stock early April. I think I'll wait and see what the consensus is.

    I doubt it’ll be easily removed. I mean if they made it as sturdy as they claim to be. And if someone uses a pry bar.. it would have to be a really dumb thief.
    The thing would be useless. And anyways.. why not go for the entune systems to start with? They’re a lot more expensive.

    Thing that I would like to know.
    Is if the hdmi feature can be used when the truck is moving. Like for google maps or Netflix.
    I emailed an installer but he hasn’t gotten back to me. Because I want to have all the inputs set up like factory.
