    Well done. Looks great.

My decals look like I applied them while driving.

Was in too big a hurry and should have waited for a day when I could take my time.

Did you do the wet method for covering up the chrome around your vents?

I had a friend do it, not 100% sure. I know the wet method was used on the glove box and the door sills. I think the dash was just prep the area and put it on there and get it to stick. Sorry I can't be more help. I am sure that @rrentrop has instructions for the products.

Get a harness on that dog and have her tow your Taco until you've save enough gas money to fix the seat. Two birds, one stone, the husky won't have extra energy to destroy stuff.

The vent and console stickers are installed dry. It needs to be dry so that the vinyl can stick while being stretched around the profile and can't if it is wet.

Ariats are definitely the most comfortable. Just wish they were made in USA and not China.

    Me, too.

I didn't exactly follow the well written instructions that came with mine.

I simply hit the area with Windex and removed the decals with a tweaker screwdriver and set them in place and floated them around to fit with a Q-Tip. Pressed for time earlier.

I'll do the rears & the dash later on when there's no rush.

My main objective was to simply protect this area of the truck. That, at least, was accomplished.

My knockarounds are made by Dan Post. No doubt South of the border construction....low cost, but comfortable. I'll probably replace them with Ariats.

No, the blackout kit is installed dry using transfer tape. You basically peel the tape/decal, align it over the chrome. The tolerance is pretty tight but you can easily reposition it as needed. When you are satisfied with the position you press it down over the trim ring to make it stick. The chrome needs to be absolutely clean or it will not stick. The trickiest part is getting the tape to release from the vinyl. It will likely take several attempts but letting the vinyl/tape rest for a few minutes after laying it over the vent opening usually helps. If it doesn't release you simply need to press down on the vinyl repeatedly on the edge where you are peeling. The tape will eventually release, then you slowwwwl pull it back on itself and the vinyl should stick to the chrome. You then just need to fold the edges down. This is all explained in the instructions.

Thank you very much! I install almost everything I sell and take mental notes during the process. I also try several methods to determine the best one. 30 years experience writing IT manuals helps!

Next step in blacking things out is to swap out the fog lights. ;) There is a GB still going on for the Morimoto fogs that will take out those chrome orbs for ya. They also have the added benifit of allowing you to see better in the dark too! :D

I like the basic decal swap to grayscale. Where'd you order it from?

True dat! I’m waiting for a deal on some BD squadrons. I’m a douchebag so yellow LEDs are good for now.

Thanks! Got the decals on eBay.
