Hey guys if anyone is in the Orange County area with a 2018, I'm in need of some help developing a prototype mount for the TSS Sensor to incorporate into the grilles I make.

If anyones willing to help me out I'd be willing to give you a super good deal on a grille I make. Basically a free grille for your time or if you just would be willing to lend a helping hand I'd really appreciate it!

Feel free to shoot me a txt/call 714 876 7238. I live in the city of Orange FYI. I wouldn't need too much of your time. Maybe one visit that wouldn't be more that 2 hours or a couple visits to do some retesting.

I basically wanted to know the process. @JaCado explained the process well enough. I wanted to know the temp to set the oven to, tips on prying the lens off, part numbers for the shrouds, projectors etc. I've seen people mention mini d2s, d2s, h11, etc. Which is the best option? Does baking plastic smell?

Uh yes it smells, can stink up the house and oven. Not sure on the bulb though most go with the h11 though

preheat the oven to 300 degrees, turn it off and place the headlight in with the lens up (you put the back of the headlight down and on a piece of cardboard).
Leave it in for 10 minutes and pull the light out.
It helps to wear gloves since it'll be hot! I also use a flat head screw driver as well as a razor blade to pry it apart. The flat head will pry and help seperate the lens from the housing, and then once it's open enough use the razor blade to cut through the sealant.

I went with an H1 kit, but the DS2 will provide better lighting. I just wanted to save some money hence the H1 kit.

You can email or call to make 100% sure you're getting the right parts.
Or even ask in this thread -

Nah, you don't actually melt anything so no stink. Unless of course you put a towel in the oven because that'll catch fire

@eccracer104 yeah considering those too. I'm going to try and pry off the lenses first. If that goes well then i'll buy the projectors lol

Have you guys or anyone one you may know have experience with RTT? I'm looking to get one. I see most people running CVT and Tepui. Those are out of my budge at the moment. Is the Smittybilt any good?

Just got my Tuff Stuff Delta RTT and it's fucking amazing, I was really against spending so much money on a tent but they are very high quality and the most comfortable tent I've ever been in (a lot of room and thick memory foam mattress pad inside). The material the tent is made out of feels extremely durable compared to the backpacking tents I was using on overnight 4x4 trips previously.

I got mine directly from Tuff Stuff in Santa Ana, $800 cash if you pick it up in person. Though I got one of two remaining last week, they probably sold the last one but can't hurt to call and ask to see
