I bought mine from shapeways. It worked really well but mine is broken now too. I was looking at the cup section where the bushing sits and it doesn’t look perfectly round. Is it suppose to be that way or might mine be bent?

Vinyl letter insets for tailgate. Garmin CS60 GPS mounting. Other misc décor in the form of decals.
The first (of the two I bought) from tocitos, is still working in my case also, and its prolly going on a year old too. And with daily use, and the dog always going, that tailgate prolly goes up/down several times a day.
I might also add, I ALWAYS hand buffer the lowering.

The orange zip tie is just to keep it from falling out.

Anyone try to use the updated bushing from Toyota and grind down the pin portion that the bushing goes on?

    Hello from Peru,

I have a 2016 tacoma manufactured in May, the same piece was also broken and I had a rear shock in which I replaced the door.
I do not know if the replacement door is from a tacoma manufactured after February 2016 but.
The question is, if that piece does it for all types of door regardless of the year or how would you know if the visagra is from a more current manufacturing?
I also want to know if where the piece enters is it normal that it is bent?

the bushing will fit any 3rd gen tacoma tailgate. However its only compatible with soft drop hinges on Tacomas built February 2016 and earlier.

Thankful to have this affordable replacement, but it is broken after a few months....Any way to improve materials maybe? I see a few other guys are having the same issue. Anything I can do to keep the 3D printed bushing from breaking after a fairly short amount of time?

I had this problem too. The fix was really easy. I just used a Dremel to shave a bit off the insides of both edges of the oem replacement and it fits perfect now.
