Somehow this makes perfect sense to me. It would be perfectly at home next to that lifted limo thats always parked on 108 in Oakdale.

Ok, looking to do a winch install. any suggestions on solenoid placement? Can you move it to inside the engine bay?(I'm sure you can) I figure I would ask others that maybe have a winch or have had one on another 4x4 and what they did for install.

    Tractor supply
    Any welding supply place
    Or Amazon
I recommend using welding cable it’s high stranded high current wire

That’s what I used when I did my dual battery setup

How do you like the yellow tops? I ran one in my Jeep a few years ago. Seemed like I was always having to put it on the charger.

I was thinking about running a red top for the truck and a yellow top for the accessories... but then I read somewhere you should run both the same type batteries when running dual batteries.

I have never had any issues and I use the secondary to run my ARB fridge, I choose yellow tops because they have a high cycle count I believe Optima rates them at 300+ discharge cycles so it’s perfect for the fridge.
Also with the deep cycle I can leave the truck set for a month and it starts no problem, I just started it today for the first time in 3 weeks

Parts are slowly rolling in. I got the front coilovers, leaf springs and UCA's so far. Tires will be here on Monday along with most of the other parts but still no shipping notification on the wheels. I ordered 5 tires and wheels hoping to have a full size spare that I could rotate in, but just found out my current spare doesn't have a TPMS. The guy at American Tire I talked to seemed to think that it would be expensive to have a 5th installed and programmed. So, I'm guessing I'll just have to put up with the light if I want to go that route, or have a really expensive and pretty spare.

    @Uphillshunter & @CalTacoma09
I'll most likely need some help, a friend of mine offered to help but he is only slightly less clueless than I am, and it would be amazing to have someone who knows what they're doing looking over my shoulder to make sure I don't fuck something up. I'll buy beer and lunch for you guys if you're down. Also, I don't yet have a jack, stands or torque wrench, and my current socket set is kind of janky (weird craftsman set with like a pass through wrench and sockets), but will hopefully work, I think I have most everything else.

I must have gotten a bad one. I couldn't even leave it for 2 or 3 days without having to charge it. I ended up pulling it and putting in an Interstate.

    I'm in bro:thumbsup:

I can help in the evening on a Friday and all day pretty much any Saturday and/or Sunday... as long as I have a couple days notice to let the wife know.

I've got Jack stands, Jack, a halfway decent torque wrench, and I normally have most of the tools it would take to do the job in my truck box already.

@foxrcing07 has a badass spring compressor.

Only thing, I can think of, we may need would be a ball joint press... if no one has one, you can rent one a O'Reillys.

If I’m available I can help also. You can always disable the TPMS but have to cut wires. I will be doing this when the weather gets nicer as I have a full size spare that is in the rotation and when my sensors die I don’t plan on replacing them

I have the balljoint press, and that spring compressor doesn't work for a lot of coilovers, just struts

whatever tools they don't have I quite possibly have
