    A lot of people learn that very lesson yet, for the sake of their own vanity, continue on with the charade.

    Talking about AR's has me somehow reminiscing about playing with Ma Duece 50 cal MG when I was Active Duty in the Marines , I was a 2111 or small Arms armorer . I used to cringe every time at the range when training the Marines in my Squadron

    They melted barrels faster than I could replace them . also hearing the rate of fire speed up or slow down I knew I had a timing or headspace issue

    It has to do with the batteries and other options you can add on ranged scope and such mid price can take a little abuse and like I said lol they are cop proof so: ]

    No cop proof means they won't screw with it that much cause they do not want to write the report on how it got screwed up , marine proof lol sorry I got to it is hard to write a report when you are eating the crayons :} .. That was funny you have to admit it :}

    Yeah I'd like to say mine is complete also, just won another 16 ga. Ithaca 37 on Gunbroker tonight, not sure exactly how many that makes now :anonymous:

    Once upon a time weight of a firearm didn't matter so much to me. When they came out with the light weight Mountain rifles I kind of rolled my eyes at them. Too light to hold steady when your sucking wind after climbing a mountain. Same with shotguns and busting brush all day, weight don't matter. Now most of the shotguns I use are 6 pounds to 6 1/4 pounds, and even use them for target shooting for muscle memory. Unlike my 9 lb. target guns they don't kind of swing through on their own. You have to work for it.

    And I also have a thing for walnut and bluing. American black walnut. And pre war Ithaca guns. My favorite grouse gun is a 1949 16 ga. with 26" bbl. choked IC. I rescued it, bluing was good but stock was oil stained and crappy when I got it. Took me a couple of months but I fixed that with a lot of work.

    [IMG]

    Have some collector guns but the new one is a shooter. Barrel was cut down to 24.5" had a poly choke on it. So it is Choked cyl. And perfect for early grouse season when leaves are still on and can't see more than 15 yards, shooting at a blur then. 1938 prewar, the old girl will most likely get a new rust bluing job and period correct recoil pad I think she deserves it.

    [IMG]

    Diamond checkered forearm and the points are still sharp for an 80 year old
    [IMG]

    Prewar wrap around checkering on the butt stock.
    [IMG]

    For the last 23 years been doing computer systems. And there is not a program out there that is end user proof. Not one...
