I paid $500 for my shell, used. Keep an eye out on surrounding areas on craigslist. It took me over 2 months to find the exact color... Worth every penny.

got my ARE V-series installed today. Heh, thought it was the CX, but i preferred the non-inset windows of the V.

Damn, really? I had my passenger side window smashed a while back. Cost me $500+ to have replaced and installed.

So i took the 2014 TRD running stock suspension with a ARE shell out to Big Bend National Park. While driving on the back roads I felt like the rear end was bottoming out. Would have others done to leaf springs or shocks while running off road with a shell. Not really wanting to lift or put larger tires on.

If you do not want to lift you can get some 5100s for the rear and AAL to compensate the added weight. You can also replace the oem bumpstops with sumo springs bumpstops or helpers. If you really don’t want to spend too much the helpers springs may be your answer .

The Snugtop SuperSport looks so good on the Tacoma. Just added it last weekend.

New Snugtop Rebel. I love it so far! My plan is to add a rack of sorts and eventually some sort of storage system that I can use for camping. Baby steps.

I have the same set up and it has been good for me. Then later on added the sumo springs bumpstops because a website was offering 20% off for first time purchase.

Way overdue on my post as I picked this up last summer, but found this gem after a long while of being patient. Only thing missing is roof rack but for $500 I couldn't be picky being color matched and all. It has carpeted liner and even keys. Now to build up the nerve to drill holes through the top to put some rails in....Red_cap_back.jpg Red_cap_front.jpg

No idea but I doubt it. Best to stay with ones designed for your rig I say...
