    I agree with @Fishinbum802 .
It sounds to me like you pulled the arms off when they were up & mounted the new ones 'down'.
Pull the arms off, activate the wipers to cycle up & down, key off & remount the arms in the 'parked' position (down). Then try it. Let us know.

Yup. You can just loosen it so it swings down. Don't have to take it off. Though it's a good time to grease the LCA books if you haven't before

The the FJ's LCA bolts/bushings the same as the Tacoma? If so, hopefully you can still get them out. Mine kept turning into a solid ball of rust.

I'm sure you're right, but that surprises me. Like I said above, brand new carbides on a 650lb sled, they are like knife edges, hardened carbide steel, and they don't even touch the Line-X. New carbides will cut into concrete like butter. But I guess it's not a 3500 lb truck sliding over rocks. Not to mention, they are called sliders for a reason? The Line-X would grip more than regular paint. Stuff is incredibly thick, 3/8" by my estimation.

I think it's because most of the people buying these trucks are people who will never put anything other than a cooler in the bed.

I wish more manufacturers would go composite. My Tacoma bed has held up great...I've thrown 70+ lb rocks into it to build stone walls with and you can't even tell. GM had a composite option a while back but discontinued it because it wasn't selling--probably the old man "if it isn't steel, it's garbage" mentality.

The new Sierra has a carbon fiber box option. Sounds dumb to me but what do I know.

Going to suck driving home from work tonight, but at least not too many cars still on the road at 22;30.
Getting in the driveway when I get home - going to have to awaken the neighbors on that one!

Yeah, that was my thought too. It's got to be more expensive and I doubt there's an advantage to Toyota and Honda's composite beds.

Doesn't the Toyota composite front mounts wear out & the bed front drops/droops/rattles.
There's value in a better composite bed that doesn't do that crap.
...especially at trade in / resale time.

This morning has been hectic as hell. Son woke up at 5 crying and felt really hot, like he had a fever. Fell back asleep, woke him up at 6:15 and still hot. Checked his temp but was fine. Weird. So we're keeping him out of daycare today and at my in-laws because of that, and because daycare is closing early and so are the schools, that way the Mrs only has to make one stop to get the kids.

Then we had to rush the dog to the vet because he's been smelling lately, come to find out it was his ear, with an ear infection. So I got to work about 10 minutes late because I took him since the vet is close to my job. So my father in law met me at work so he could take the dog back.
