Between the rain and my schedule I haven’t been able to install mine yet. I will try to install and write it up tomorrow.

I just realized the moderator moved this thread and the Sports thread to the market place, vs having it just under the 3rd generation forum. I haven’t seen as much traffic as previously. Will you guys help out in posting pictures and your experiences with the vinyl??? I’d appreciate it.

Put these on the other day, definitely not as perfect as some of the other users on here but they still look good. I did tear one pretty.badly but was able.to salvage it. I washed the truck yesterday and there are a few small areas that seem to be starting to peel up. We will see how long they hold but I think they will stay long enough for me to find a tire/wheel combo I like. Overall I am happy with the purchase and product.

looks good! prep work for vinyl is the most important part. decrease then alcohol the crap out every mm of it. I wrapped vehicles for a few years and could always tell when the noob didn't do a good job cleaning because corners and edges we wrapped around doors etc wouldn't stick well.

Thanks! I cleaned the wheels then wiped em down with rubbing alcohol twice. it was about 60-65* in my garage so I used a hair drier to warm the wheel then used it again to heat the vinyl. I'm happy overall and thought the application was pretty simple for someone with no experience.

Here are instructions I pulled from a customer in the very beginning of this thread for easy application:

Here are the steps I used to apply the vinyl in case anyone is interested.
    1. Clean the wheels really well. Key is to get all grease and oil off them. I cleaned them during the detail and then gave them another rub down with isopropyl alcohol.
    2. Next, peel the back from the vinyl and line up the two inside top corners of the V-shape on the wheel. Lightly stick each of the corners.
    3. Allow the vinyl to lay itself onto the wheel. Then take the side of your finger and work it from top to bottom. If you get any bubbles, just pull it up and lay it down.
    4. Once it's bubble free, use your finger to stick it down but leave the edges where it overlaps the curves in the wheel.
    5. Now take a heat gun on low and apply heat across the vinyl. The vinyl will "shrink" over the edges. Now use a finger to stick it down, working from the inside out.

One day away from three weeks from install. 50 miles a day, 5 days a week, plus extra running. I also had the dealership do a tire rotation and never mentioned the decals. Through that, they are still 100% in place, no peeling, stretching, fading, or bubbles. Done right, these are a good investment. Follow directions and you won’t be disappointed!
