Honestly I can't even describe the smell. It was awful though. But they cleaned it out, used a qtip and got a bunch of gunk out, and gave me a liquid to clean with, and some drops. Going to use the liquid to clean them out everyday for two weeks now, and drops every other day. Then going to keep using it to clean once a week per the vet.

You ain't kidding... this being grown up and responsible is killing me.

 

Haha yeah when I got Tia she stank. I kept giving her baths but she still smelled. Found out she had an ear infection

 

That's what happened to us now. Smelled, bath. Still smelled, bath again. Today it was really bad, so the wife started "sniffing" the dog. Smelled his ear and said it was coming from there. Asked me if I wanted to smell... I was like, NO THANK YOU!

 

My truck never gets ear infections. Good truck!

Yeah, a bit... guess that explains the ear infection then.

 

Yeah they don't get a chance to dry out

 

My Lab got chronic ear infections. Smells like cheese. I think it was because she would swim in anything. Swamp, mud puddle, ocean.. that dog lived to swim.

Makes sense. Definitely going to be paying better attention to them now, that's for sure.

 

Yikes iv been lucky neither of my Dogs has had any weird infections or some oily butthole that needs to be drained by the vet? Coworker was talking about that with her dog, I think I’ll skip that please. Both of my dogs are pretty hairy but nothing the groomer doesn’t fix.

 

Anal glands. One of mine had an infected one that abscessed. Can kill the dogs if it gets bad enough

 

Yep, our dog had that a very long time ago, when he was still young. It was bad.

 

Is it really? I remember it being such a bitch to put in lol. I need to take them off and spray em again this year, may change the paint I use.

 

What did you use last time?

 

There was one up front that I couldn't reach, and then there's one in front of that that's optional right? I don't know I'll have to look when I get home. James and I did mine then did his (bamf) and his came with these linked nuts that made it so much easier

 

My dog gets constant ear infections too. We have to clean them a couple times a week and put drops in and that usually keeps somewhat control of it

 

That's what the vet told me to do this morning, to clean them once a week or every other week. He's never had this problem before, so I was a bit surprised it could happen. But I guess if we get them, they can as well.
