I've been really happy with my dewalt pressure washer, It's been used a lot over the past 5-6 years and i have no complaints. Not sure on the prices though.

I like our Honda. Had it for 8 years. Does the job for us. 2400 max psi

 

I will say that the cheap electric one I've been using is great for washing the truck. Much beyond that I wouldn't really use it for. It's a 2030 psi and that is about a low as I'd go to wash a vehicle with myself. It has just enough push to use the foam cannon with effectively. Think it was around $180 at Home Depot. Not bad for a quick fix, but I dont really anticipate it being a legacy piece of equipment.

That said, I have a gas powered one in the storage building that my FIL jacked up somehow. So I may be on the path to getting that repaired.

 

yeah I'm not planning to buy electric, I'll definitely go gasoline. I just don't want to spend a ton of money for something that won't get used that often. like over 500$ seems nuts to me...

 

I would stay away from the DeWalt and Simpson pressure washers they sell at Lowes and Home Depot. They have a great Honda engine, but have a completely shit AAA pump that is known for failing.

 

Gotcha. This is the most the one I have now has been used. Ran the truck through the automated car wash ONCE right after I got it last month. When I was near the end and the dryers kicked in, the air pressure was warping the hood as it passed over. Settled that shit quickly, no more of that, washing at home.

 

so where do I buy one that has a cat pump?
