So I just bought my wife a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. My wife really loves the truck, but now I feel like a traitor. I have even started looking at parts for it. I am going into the garage right now to put my TC UCAs on my Tacoma.

    Tacoma
    FJ
    Jeep

In that order of getting a vehicle for street and off road use. Nothing wrong with Jeeps in my opinion. I just like the look of a Tacoma and I have more need for the truck.

    Congrats

LOL the Land Cruiser is nice. I actually want an FJ40 as a dedicated trail rig. And keep the Tacoma to tow it to the trails. I could have bought an FJ cruiser but it doesn't have a bed.

    Congrats on the Jeep!!

I hope it serves you well on-street and off! I'd get a second job if I were you....to support all the money you'll put into both vehicles!!

    That's because you are. Traitor.

I kid a bit, but the quality level of the Jeep is nowhere near the Toyota, and that's going to become very obvious over the next five years. Chrysler/Dodge just doesn't build good vehicles right now (or the past 5 years).

Jeeps are very capable vehicles - on par with our Tacos in almost every respect (and in some ways superior) when it comes to wheeling.

    When everything's working.

The thing that pisses me off about ChryCo is how quickly their interiors start to fall apart. Everything is chintzy plastic that's poorly put together, and it does not stand the test of time well at all. Most other brands are much more solidly fit and finished and wear much better.

The wife's Grand Cherokee is very well put together, and it's Quadra Trac/Drive system is far superior than ours.

    2001.

Viscous couplings for the win. No electronics to fail.

Honestly though, I'd get a Power Wagon with a Cummins Diesel if I was to own a Diamler/Chrysler/Dodge.

Full time 4WD rocks the shazbah!
